Beautiful historical hotel. The room is roomy with a comfortable king bed, large tv beverage cart and adequate bathroom. Just took a shower pressure not great but no problem rinsing my hair, plenty of hot water. My favorite thing about this hotel is the staff, eager to help you go out of their way to be sure everything is perfect.

Beautiful Hotel in the heart of Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia! The rooms are cozy and unique giving you a relaxed homey vibe. Definitely not a “cookie cutter” hotel!

The most ‘boutique’ thing about the hotel is its red door! The tiny lobby has two uncomfortable leather benches. The rooms are small. The breakfast area feels cold. The ‘continental breakfast’ is plain- it even became ‘more plain’ on the second day of our stay. So, the property needs tlc to be ‘boutique’.

I had an amazing time during my stay. The location was perfect for walking to rittenhouse square and the restaurants nearby. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. The breakfast was a plus. Definitely would like to come back.

The receptionist was a classy and helpful person. He was spectacular in the most refined way. The same goes for the bartenders and staff. If you want an experience made your way, remember to speak to Chi. She is amazing.

I had the pleasure of staying at one of the best hotels, where every aspect of my experience was remarkable. The decor was elegant and unique. I was greeted by friendly and helpful staff, and I felt a welcoming atmosphere from the moment I arrived. The bar was exceptional and certainly a highlight of my stay. My room, named Maude, had a spacious and luxurious sense of comfort. The choice of wood flooring over carpeting contributed to the room's fresh and inviting ambiance. The bed was comfortable, and the charming little balcony was delightful.

Overall, the hotel did not live up to my expectations. The hotel was cute, but there was much to be desired. My room was freezing and the sheets were stained. When I checked out in the morning, there was no one at the desk. I waited for about 5 minutes, but nobody ever showed up. I simply left my key on the desk and hoped someone would find it. I travel to Philly for work from time to time, but won't be back at this hotel next time I am there.

It is a very charming boutique property in a great location. In room temperature control is lacking, so heat was uncomfortable during the middle of the night. Had to figure out how to open the window in the middle of the night in winter. Also, no workout room or relationships with gyms.

Property and decor is beautiful… however there was no heat control in the room and windows don’t open so it was a sweat lodge in our room that the staff couldn’t do anything about. Also.. the shower was either cold or scalding. They do so much right… the breakfast is wonderful.. front desk staff lovely but you couldn’t get a glass of wine in the bar and take it to your room but the bar wouldn’t accommodate in house guests without a reservation at the speak easy. When I told the manager of these issues… she graciously compensated us for one night…but I doubt we would ever stay again. At this price point … one expects the basic services such as correct temperature in the room and shower to not be an issue.

Very friendly staff. Prime location. Condition of room was subpar considering the potential. For example: room heat is controlled by one thermostat for the floor which is in a common area, therefore room was a little cool and drafty due to the understandably older nature of the building. No mini-fridge in the room. Lock box did not work.
