Great location of center city

Pros: the view and location
Location: places to eat are everywhere
My first room was very small and tight. I was then changed rooms because of a problem and then i was happier with the a bigger room and nice view. Hotel is at a good location and walking distance to almost anything.

Cozy and Affordable

This hotel is PERFECT is you are looking for a clean, cozy, and budget hotel. It has all the amenities you need and even has nice extras like a Keurig in each room. It has a GREAT location in center city and the parking garage literally across the street is SUPER convenient. I will DEFINITELY stay here again if needing to be in the center Philly area! It truly gives you the most bang for your buck without slacking on comfort or cleanliness.

Clean hotel with very convenient location

Parking is super convenient with a deck right across the street. You get the discount rate of $15 for 24 hrs just by staying at the Rodeway Inn. The hotel and room was very clean. Staff was friendly and answered all questions with a smile. My only issue was that the temp is controlled by the front desk so you have to call to adjust it. Not the worst thing in the world, but it is an inconvenience. My room was a few floors up so I was able to open up the windows which helped with the heat blasting soon as we got to the room. The location is close to Chinatown and the historic area. Plenty of restaurants and bars/clubs nearby.

Very Adequate and Clean

Pros: It was clean and the staff was courteous.
Cons: The bathroom sink was slow in draining but adequate.
Location: Very good location downtown close to many stores, bus lines and restaurants. I walked from the train station where I came in from the airport for $9.
The hotel is in a terrific location downtown with plenty of places to eat quite close by that are very reasonably priced. The check in/out was very prompt and effortless.The staff was extremely courteous. The lobby is clean with a fire wall. The elevator took me to my room on the 5th floor. It had a large window letting in lots of light. The cleanliness was excellent. The bed was very comfortable and had nice bedding. There is a large TV on the wall. The room had a safe, microwave and refrigerator. There was a coffee maker also. There were wooden hangers in the closet along with an iron and extra pillows. The bathroom was modern and very clean. Each day the room was cleaned and put in order. A local newspaper was at my door each morning. Two bottles of complimentary bottled water was replenished each day. The location was quiet and I had no problems with hearing other guests during my stay. It was everything I wanted in a hotel room for a four day stay.

Very unhelpful manager.

Pros: Location.
Cons: The manager.
Location: Central to bars, restaurants, and lots of local history.
When I checked into the hotel, the women at the front desk was very helpful and nice. I asked her if I could pay with a different card than the one I initially used to hold the room and she said yes, of course. She swiped the new card and I signed the receipt. The hotel was nice and clean, close to everything and there is a parking garage right across the street. We check out no problem. 3 days later there was a charge on the card I had asked her NOT to charge. I called the hotel at which time the woman who answered told me to call back tomorrow because she couldn't help me. So I called the next day and the gentlemen I spoke to said that I would have had to talk to Expedia to change the card. I told him the woman that checked me in said changing the card was fine and said nothing of the sort. He then in return said he would talk to her, that there was nothing else he could do and that I shouldn't book through Expedia anymore. Thanks a lot guy...

Problems checking in

We had a problem checking in because the hotel had cancelled our reservation because Hotels.com had not provided them with the proper payment. The desk clerk said this happens a lot with Hotels.com. Our reservation had been confirmed by hotels.com and still showed up in their system as fine. I suggest double checking with the hotel if you book through the site. We spent 45 minutes getting this resolved at midnight. Our room, the Ben Frankling Suite, was fine but the flooring was slanted. My bedside table was at 10 degree slant, although the bed itself was level. For the price and convenience to shopping and amenities the hotel was a good deal. Staff was very nice and even told us about the Phlash city bus that goes to all the major historical sites for only $5, much cheaper than the $30 hop on hop off private buses.

Convenient, friendly/helpful staff, good location.

Excellent hotel staff -- Shai made our introduction to and navigation of the hotel experience a good one. Thanks Shai! Rooms were nice but some problems: Some fixtures/electrical output did not work well. Fridge was not working and there was a big chunk of plastic missing from our hairdryer.

Awesome location, great price

This hotel was perfect. From the outside it is unassuming, but the rooms are very well appointed, beds are comfortable, and staff is helpful and friendly. It is also in a great location--a short walk to septa, and surrounded by restaurants and shops. It is a great bang for your buck and I will definitely stay here again if I come back to Philly.
