Very nice hotel, midblock, close to Independence Hall and other scenic sites. Many nice restaurants nearby as well. Staff was courteous, careful and knowllegeable about the area.

Wonderfully close to Independence Hall!

Posted Feb 4, 2016
Pros: I loved its location in relation to Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell.
Cons: A softer bed would be nice :)
Location: The Franklin Hotel at Independence Park is a short stroll to Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell.
I had a good stay at the Franklin Hotel at Independence Park. The hotel is very well situated to Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell - both were literally two minutes stroll away. I thought the hotel was nicely appointed but I found the bed a little too hard for my liking. The staff were wonderful and overall the place had a great ambiance to it.

Excellent location in the historic district

Pros: Location, charm.
Cons: Service.
Nice room with superb view on the park. Clean, nice, in a conservative way. We loved it. Service was not as expected for this kind of hotel. We booked a room for 4. The bed sofa was not ready when we arrived (3pm). We had to ask twice before somebody eventually came at 7pm. Then the bed was prepared with a thin blanket. We realized this after the kids went to bed. When we asked for a comforter, they were quick to bring it. Pool: staff was not friendly and pool itself was not very clean (a lot of hair floating on the water)

A little old and unexciting but still decent

Posted Jan 8, 2016
Pros: Location. Self park for 28$ almost unbeatable
Cons: I would definitely air out that sauna, and build a shower in the spa area if you don't mean to have sweaty guest jump into the pool *gross*
Location: Old town - independence hall, liberty bell, some bars, first bank, etc.
This is a strange hotel to rate... The staff is friendly but then again the Kleenex box was empty and small stuff like that. The hotel has a pool, a nice hot tub and a sauna but then again the sauna smelled like someone was smoking sausages in there real bad, and there are no showers down there! The rooms are fine, but the windows are the cheapest kind and the roads down there noisy also at night. etc. In the end I think there are better hotels in the city but then nothing beats being first in line for the bell or independence hall because you're so close by. I would recommed for the touristy stuff in the area, wouldn't stay for business around downtown
