Incredible staff

Posted Dec 5, 2016
Pros: The staff!
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
Location: Fun eateries - Buddakan and Friedas especially. It's the heart of the historic district, but there are also thriving shops, galleries etc. nearby.
I chose the Wyndham because it's across the street from the Quaker Meetinghouse, the site of two events I attended last weekend. While the facility was fine, the big surprise was the fabulous staff. My family joined me for dinner at the hotel. My two grandsons, 2 and 5, have several food allergies and our waitress, Burgandy, was exceptionally helpful. She asked the kitchen staff about the kind of oil they used, checked to see whether milk or eggs were used in several dishes, and generally went to great lengths to accommodate them. Throughout our time in the dining room, she was extremely attentive, pleasant and cheerful. When I got back to my home in Maryland, I realized that I had left two rings at the hotel. I called and spoke with Alex, who spent considerable time tracking them down. They had fallen under the night table, and the hotel will send them back to me. Of course I will send a special thanks to the person who found them, but my point is that at all levels, the staff was exceptional. I've found my go-to hotel in Philadelphia and look forward to staying at the Wyndham often.

Ok hotel. Pros: Efficient reception desk. Close to historic district, Liberty Bell etc... Cons: Showing age. Elevators, hallways, and bathroom could've been cleaner. Didn't feel safe parking and leaving my car at next door parking.

Dear Lynn, Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed our location and staff but was disappointed that you found our rooms outdated. We completed a guest room renovation back in 2014 and most people love the look. I will definitely share this with ownership. My apologies. Regards,

Have stayed before

Posted Nov 26, 2016
Felt the room was bigger in the past and with a safe but that was not the case this time. In any event it worked out pretty well. However, something that I found annoying was their "our towels are white but or policy is green". This was supposed to cut down on laundry which is fine with me. It worked the first night but then the second night, even though I put the towels where they were supposed to be so they would not be washed, they gave me all new towels and also linens on the bed. Since I was only staying one more night I thought that was pretty wasteful and not in keeping with their stated policy.

Dear John, Thank you for your feedback. We do have a few different sized rooms so that might have been why this past stay you thought your room was different. We are currently in the process of purchasing in room safes and can't wait to add that amenity for our guests. I will try and research why the room attendant did not adhere to our green policy. My apologies for the frustration. Thank you again and we hope to see you back sometime soon. Regards,

Nice Hotel and located around a lot to do.

Posted Nov 24, 2016
It was a very clean hotel and well maintained. The staff was very helpful and knew the area well. Parking onsite was also a plus as that made it eaiser to get around and to be able to leave your vehicle to walk.

Wonderful hotel and staff

Posted Nov 17, 2016
The staff was friendly and hospitable! They went above and beyond to accommodate us and help us navigate the city. The hotel is perfectly located in the historic district: we walked to all the historic landmarks, and took the Philly Phlash (tourist bus) for the art museum, etc (that bus is GREAT). We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you to the Wyndham Historic District Staff!

Good location. Brew your own coffee for $2/8oz

Posted Nov 14, 2016
The location is great and if you ned a basic hotel for the night, it works. Not a luxury hotel at all. The bathrooms need updating. There were only decaf coffee packets in the room with powdered creamer. Of course, you can go to the lobby where you will pay $2 for a small coffee and you have to brew it YOURSELF! At over $200 per night, complimentary coffee in the lobby should be a given.

Dear Expedia.com Guest, Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and my apologies for the coffee issue. There should have been regular coffee in your guest room. I will share this with the housekeeping team to be sure they address it. Thank you again. Regards,
