Close to Woden. Good room. Part of the Labour ClubPosted Jan 22, 2018
Pros: Location. Moderate tariff. Free carparking, WiFi. Dining options.
Came into town for a wedding. Located in Woden within walking distance from Woden Plaza, the hotel is part of the 'Tradies' Labour Club. The hotel has a bus station just outside and is over the road from the Phillip pool and close to several restaurants. Room was clean and reasonable size.

Ok room but no restaurant facilitiesPosted Jan 14, 2018
Had stayed here before & found it good being attached to The Tradies Club. With no notification when booking, we arrived to find the club shut down permanently & nowhere for dinner or breakfast. Room was not well cleaned with rubbish left on floor & chocolates scattered along skirting board. Evidently it is being taken over by another hotel chain very soon.

Great hotel and locationPosted Jan 7, 2018
Cons: Another lift
We had a great 3 night at this hotel between xmas and new year. The hotel is in a great location with restaurants nearby and a Westfield 10 mins walk away. The hotel next door Tradies is fantastic for food and you can join for free as a hotel guest, the $8 schnitzel was fantastic value. Our room was 104 spacious family room next to the club entrance and on the same level as reception which was great as we never had to use the one lift the hotel has which can be very time consuming. Great hotel

About 10 to 15 mins drive to the city and various tourist attractions. Friendly staff and clean and comfortable stay. We had booked a room with 2 double bed and the room was spacious. Good WiFi and adequate parking. Overall a good experience.

Nice hotel close to hospitalPosted Dec 12, 2017 on Lastminute
Very disappointed, have stayed a number of times before with no problems but booked a 'Superior' room on Last Minute, supposed to have one queen bed and a couch. Since we have over three hours drive to get to Canberra for my husband's regular appointment at the hospital, I thought the couch would be more comfortable for him. In the morning on our way to Canberra I received a call from a female staff member, confirming our booking and that I had booked a room with one double bed. On arrival we were given a 'Standard' room, with 2 double beds and no couch. I called reception and we were re- allocated a different room by a male staff member - it was a disabled access room, dark and still no couch! Not happy!

Pros: acesssability room
Location: The hotel is connected to a pokies venue and restaurant which served quite nice meals
I booked the stay requesting disability access. Although the rooms are a good size and well appointed the staff attitude let the experience down significantly. I had problems with the booking, language and understanding. There was no consistency which I found frustrating. As an example, I asked about parking bays for persons with disability permits, and was informed I could park my vehicle out the front of the hotel. Several days later I enquired whether there was undercover parking as I was getting wet getting in and out of the car in the rain. There was both underground parking within the hotel and disability parking bays adjacent to the lifts. Also there was quite a walk from my room to the restaurant next door. The restaurant staff where awesome.
