Budget hotel without frills

Posted Nov 7, 2016
Pros: Location was good, and breakfast not too bad. Friendly staff on arrival and departure.
Cons: Shower in room was just a trickle. The grouting around the cubicle grubby and needs replacing. Water was cold
Location: Good location near to the night market and river

Thank you for your feedback David. Sorry about the shower being trickling and cold cold. Perhaps next time you could let reception know. Unfortunately this review doesn't provide your last name or booking information. However I will get maintenance to check all the showers as guests leave us. Thanks again for your review.

Good price, good location.

Posted Nov 19, 2015
Stayed here for 2 nights. I was told the hotel is full so my original booking was changed. The room had no windows but then the hotel is situated in the middle of a complex so then it made sense that some rooms won't have windows. I don't remember reading the description to see if there weren't any windows in the rooms. It was just a surprise. The breakfast was good. The hotel is just a few blocks and you will be at sisowath quay where good restaurants are. Also, the hotel is close to tourist attractions that can walk to or tuk tuk. Staff are friendly and helpful. Over all good stay.

Second time here

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: Comfortable bed. Free WiFi. Free breakfast. Good location.
Cons: Not many facilities at the hotel.
Location: Just a short walk to the Central Market, Night Market, Riverside district, National Museum, Royal Palace or Wat Phnom temple.
This was my second stay here. I booked a standard room but they didn't have one available so upgraded me to a deluxe room for all three nights. The room was a little bigger with a nicer bathroom than the standard room which I had stayed in during my previous stay. It didn't have an external window but apart from sleeping I didn't spend much time in the room so it didn't concern me.

Good location and comfy bed

Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: Close to the Central Market, Night Market and Riverside District. I found the location to be quiet.
Cons: Not many facilities at the hotels.
Location: Walking distance to the Central Market, Night Market and Riverside District. Short tuk tuk ride to Aeon Mall for shopping.
My room was small but bed was very comfortable. WiFi was ok at best and free breakfast was basic but no complaints. Walking distance to markets and Riverside.

Disappointing hotel salvaged only by location

Posted Apr 9, 2014
Pros: Location 2 blocks from riverfront was the redeemable quality
Cons: Desk attitude, major remodeling
Location: Good location
The hotel is a bit run down and the desk help disinterested. Concierge of sorts anxious to push assorted tours and recommended his friend as tuk-tuk driver. He proved unreliable and dishonest resulting in an unpleasant experience.

Thank you for your feedback. A renovation program is underway. We have upgraded the restaurant and kitchen and added a 2 bedroom suite. Staff attitude has been addressed by replacing staff that did not meet our (and your)standards

Great hotel, wonderful location...

Posted Dec 2, 2013
Pros: I stayed in alot of hotels in Phnom Penh, and this one, by far, had the most comfortable bed! Location was great, their 'sister' restaurant was super!
Cons: This hotel was just put under new owners, so I'm sure they will make many improvements to an already nice hotel.
Location: Location is great, only a few blocks from the river front. Close to Central Market, Sorya Shopping Center, Post Office, Royal Palace and Wat Phnom...

Great value, quality provision well located.

Posted Nov 24, 2013
Pros: Its value for money, quality of provision, helpful staff & location.Overall I was very pleased with my stay and would recommend the hotel & stay again
Cons: Did not like room without windows BUT -fine for a short stay. Flexibility over the rigid breakfast e.g can only have 1 of tea, coffee, juice NO TOP
Location: Very good location... more than enough to do nearby by tuktuk. Good night life.
I stayed here for 3 days in November 2013. I arranged with them to be picked up by tuktuk at the airport for a reduced fee of $5. This is the second time I have been to Phnom Penh. This hotel was better and cheaper than the other one paying £77 for three nights including breakfast for up to 2 people. Being located on Street 130 it is an ideal central location – near the bars and the quay side. The room was not massive but big enough. It had a smallish modern TV (access to CNN news channel), a room safe was placed in it at my request, a good sized bathroom with modern fixtures and a great shower with plenty of hot water. It also had the usual king sized bed. The modern styling was good. The only down side was no window looking outside – fine for a short stay. The staff were very good. Communication my email worked well and they were helpful over any problems and fixed things very well and quickly. The breakfast was the type that is freshly cooked – not self service, and until 11 am! There was a piece of toast and one type of jam with meal choice. The choice of ‘main’ is good – the usual omelet or other type of egg, mushrooms (I think canned?), tomato, ham, etc. The one I liked was fresh fruit with honey and yoghurt. Nice good fresh food but I would like to have more included in the price with some flexibility. I would liked more than one or parts of the others of the available choices. e.g some yogurt and fruit plus a tomato omelet. Perhaps a bit of salad as well.

Thank you for full and expansive report. Since your stay we have "upgraded" our breakfast offerings. We know have 8 options in the "free" range as well as expanded meals and addons. Mushrooms and other produce are purchaased daily and we have upgraded the chicken breakfast sausage to a 100% pork sausage made in our kitchen.
