Great Phoenix ResortPosted Nov 30, 2015
The big attraction and the reason we chose this hotel over countless others in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area is the water park. If you're traveling with kids it's a great option. But we were also very happy with our King suite. Very comfy bed. Great fitness center and golf course. Besides the usual price gauging that all resorts seem to get away with these days (resort fees, room service fees, $14 cocktails etc.) we felt it was a good value overall. Staff were excellent.

Honest ReviewPosted Nov 30, 2015
The AGR is a wonderful place to stay. The room was very comfortable and in great condition with updated decor and amenities. The maid staff cleaned daily, quickly and thoroughly. The hotel food was a little pricey but outstanding in quality. The waterpark was a blast! The only negatives would be the absorbant resort fee and the area around the hotel is less than desirable.

Nice hotel but noisy!Posted Nov 18, 2015
Resort had a event Sat night.. The breakdown of the event was extremely noisy ans spanned until past 3am. The noise resumed at 7am... No one in my room got any sleep that night. I spoke to the manager who said he would follow up... But it's been several days and I haven't heard from him.

Great water park and golf course.Posted Nov 8, 2015
Enjoyed the water park and golf course that we could easily walk to from our room. Also large desert park with hiking trails beside the property and elevated hills give a great view of the city. Large gym with lots of equipment and adult pool. Note the water park closes for the winter on Nov. 1st. Friendly staff will give you a ride around the property and to nearby restaurants.

Giant maze of a complexPosted Nov 4, 2015
The grand resort was ok. Kinda stuffy with a lot of rich winterbirds and business conferences going on. The food on site was high quality and fresh, but the pools were almost all in the shade and the water park was closed for the season when we got there. This was the main reason we wanted to go, so pretty disappointing.

Everything closed/overchargedPosted Oct 24, 2015
Chose the hotel for on site golf course and water park even though our venue was 30 miles away. We booked in July for October visit Wednesday to Friday. When we checked in we were told that the golf course was closed for that week and the water park was only open on weekends. I asked why they hadn't informed us at the time we reserved the room or prior to our visit. No answer. I was then charged $100 more then Expedia quote and check in quote for " resort fees", although everything was closed. Currently disputing charges.

Great ExperiencePosted Oct 23, 2015
Pros: Everything. The beds were very comfortable.
Cons: I cant' think of anything right now.
Location: We were in a GREAT location.
It was awesome. Just in one big word, completely awesome. I stayed on Mountain side and I had a beautiful view of the golf course, and other stuff. The food was delish in the lobby, and the restaurant Aunt Chiladas was delish too. We enjoyed our 5 day stay so much, that we actually booked for additional night.

Hotel was very, very good; this rating for staff,Posted Oct 19, 2015
Pros: The architectural beauty of the property was very beautiful but not easy to locate specific buildings.
Cons: More signs for direction
An older but beautiful facility and well maintained facility. Found the double beds in the rooms were very close to the wall on the outer sides making it difficult for four (4) guests @ two (2) per bed.
