Clean, quiet, well appointed and friendly staff

I don't usually review hotels but just read a negative one and felt a need to set the record straight. I travel frequently for business and leisure and ended up having to extend my stay here for 12 nights. Very well managed and professionally staffed and run. Clean room, no noise at all during my stay, staff always say hi/good morning etc (a result of a great training). Breakfast was hot, well-stocked and good variety; and I observed consistent thorough cleaning standards during as well as after the breakfast room was closed for the day. All staff were friendly...particularly Omar at the front desk always greeted me when I left and returned. Always felt safe. My room was clean and well-appointed, everything worked, reliable Wi-Fi, fridge even had a small freezer; bed, pillows very comfortable; ample well-lit parking; great central location and walking distance to restaurants and shopping. I'm a fan of Best Western and this one was as good as any I've stayed at. Would stay here again any time.

Visit w/my daughter

Pros: The staff were very helpful and friendly and I really enjoyed the decoration in the lobby.
Cons: Shuttle to both airports, instead of just the closest.
Location: Mall shopping very close by, Best restaurant nearby is Sakebomber Sushi & Grill. Great atmosphere and staff.
I traveled to Arizona to spend some one on one time for the holidays with my daughter. The lobby was decorated beautifully for the holidays. The staff were friendly and helpful. My room was very spacious and had a beautiful view of the mountain range in the distance. The breakfast area was well stocked with all the essentials and more. Plenty of delicious coffee available all day (very important to me). The only "issue" I would mention is that they do not shuttle to Phoenix-Mesa Airport, only Sky Harbour, which put me into a bit of a bind for transporation. Overall though, my stay was very comfortable and enjoyable.

Not happy!

Pros: nothing
Cons: A upgrade to the rooms.
Location: poor location.
Thought the room smelled musty and dated. It looked tired and needed a face lift. walls were peeling too. The hotel is not in a good location. It was a little away from mall and we did not feel comfortable to walk through the parking lot at night back to hotel.

Everything I hoped for

Pros: location and value
Cons: more diversity on breakfast menu, perhaps longer breakfast hours
Location: convenient to highways, shopping, town activities
Staff are very friendly and attentive, the room was clean, quiet and safe. It was a wonderful respite from the busy pace I keep.

It was a good experience. The only complaint is one of the elevators was scary. It sounded like it was going to fall apart. I was afraid to take it.

Not very Clean

I am not sure if it was the room we stayed in, but the room was very dirty feeling. The carpet had stains and holes in it. The carpeted baseboards were coming off the wall. There was a phone jack without a cover hanging off the wall. One of the face clothes in the bathroom had a large brown stain on it. The whole hotel felt beat up and had a very unusual smell to it. Will never stay here again.

All good except carpets and odor

Location: There are lots of restaurants, shopping areas and important is its proximity to the Phoenix Skyharbor International Airport.
This hotel is well designed and thought out. It is very popular and has many business travelers and airline crew staying there as well as groups of sports teams etc. The reception staff are friendly. The only drawback to this hotel was its carpet cleanliness- infact being located in Tempe, Arizona I wondered why they needed wall to wall carpets when it is hot and dusty. As a result, there is a constant dusty/ musty odor on the corridors and unfortunately the room I stayed in- as well as my colleagues room all had the dirty carpet smell. My suggestion is to get rid of the carpet and replace it with something easier to clean and keep dust off in the Arizona climate. The Wi-Fi, guest laundry, coin dispensers for drinks and such were all working and in good condition.
