The property was great and the house was clean, however there was a strong musty/moldy smell in the home that was pretty overwhelming. It permeated our clothes even once we’d left. The Kitchen was adequately equipped however there was no plastic drinkware or dishware - which would have been nice for the pool area and outdoor bar. We ended up buying some reusable plastic wine glasses at the dollar store and leaving them there for the next guests. The pool is not heated. For the price we paid for "host fees"(almost $500) the communication and follow-up regarding some issues with the property was lacking. Issues we inquired about were not addressed during our stay. The ice maker was not working so we did not have ice for the entire stay. The deadbolt on the back door was virtually impossilbe to lock forcing us to leave the back door unlocked during our first night there. We discovered on the second night that with one person pulling the door up and another turning the deadbolt, we were able to lock it with some effort. The main button on the living room tv remote was missing and there was no remote for the master bedroom tv. The final issue is that there are pigeons living in the eaves above the front room. You would not believe the amount of noise that pigeons can make!! We would chase them away but they would come right back!! Aside from these things, it is a great house. There is plenty of room for a group of people. The couches and beds are very comfortable. It is close to everything. There are games and activities for everyone: corn hole, golf putting, ping-pong, an outdoor bar. It was stocked with the basic necessities we needed for the kitchen and baths. It was a great house for our dog! The pool was very nice but unfortuantely it was a little too chilly for us to use it but we did enjoy the backyard space by it. ##### Stephanie A. Quiet neighborhood and easy to get on the 101\. Enough room where you do not feel on top of each other. Wish it was warm enough to use the pool. Quiet neighborhood and pictures exactly as described. The home was clean and bright. Was great to walk into a nicely air conditioned home in June in AZ. The location was conveniently located near ASU campus, the airport, as well as other Tempe/Scottsdale sights. I would highly recommend this home to others. The only comment related to this home was there some minor maintenance items that could be addressed. However, nothing that was significant to the overall functionality of the home. ##### Jennifer C. I will say the pool is in the shade starting around 3pm (end of April beginning of May) so plan for that. Pool is not heated but felt good with the hot weather. I would suggest bringing more towels for laying out/pool. The two non-master rooms are small, but worked fine. Mattresses are very hard. Other than those things very nice and living room area’s spacious. ##### Michelle K. Comfy couches. Cozy backyard. It was an easy drive to everything we wanted to do & only a mile or two from a fantastic park, a great brewery, & my fave coffee spot. Only drawbacks were it had kind of a musty smell. We knew going it it was a dog friendly joint, so maybe it was just closed up too long? We all used the master shower as the guest bathtub was a little difficult to turn on & it was very slick. The washing machine had a very strong mildew smell, but we braved it anyway in necessity & the clothes did come out smelling fine. I believe it is just recently converted to a rental & could use some spackle for all the changed wall art & paint, but all these instances aside we would not hesitate to stay again. So much space indoors and outdoors. The pool and backyard were amazing; lots of seating areas, pool was clean, bar area was super cute and TV was useful for Spotify/YouTube for music, lots of yard games that were provided, and rafts for the pool (although we brought our own there were also extras). The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and then some. Lots of space for comfortable sitting inside and was just super cozy. Bedrooms were great, the only con was that the bedroom on the backyard side got really warm and there were no blinds/light curtains, allowing the sun to come in early. My friends said the guest beds were a little firm but nothing outrageous. Another con was that the AC filter inside was extremely dirty.
