Couldn't breath normally and no Internet

Posted Nov 23, 2015
Pros: Breakfast was OK.
Cons: Kill the MOLD and other allergens in the room.
The room looked OK, but after a while it was difficult to breathe normally (the room must of been full of allergens). I had the room for 2 nights and I was dead tired, so I went to bed. The next morning I was worse and I need the Internet to do some work - the Internet was very unreliable, so I had to find a free wifi. When I was showering I noticed that the shower curtain was heavily infested with MOLD. I did not even use the second night I went back home. Not a pleasant experience. There was also 3 staples sticking up in the carpet at the bathroom door, luckily I saw them before I stepped on them.

Would not recommend even if just passing through.

We arrived late at night and went to the night arrival window. The young man behind the glass had a very blank demeanor and seemed as though he had no interest in being there. He was also wearing basketball pants and slippers which is unprofessional in the hospitality industry. The parking lot was filthy to include condom boxes and beer cans. We ended up having to pay an extra $10 on arrival for a non-smoking room. Expedia didn't give me the selection to choose otherwise I would've selected this from the beginning. The room Was probably one of the worst I've stayed in. The bathroom had a dingy dirty appearance to it and the shower curtain had mold along the bottom of it. The carpet in the room was different than that in the hallway and no care was taken when matching it up, so there was actual strip of carpet curling up from under the door that hadn't been trimmed and glued down. Several of the light fixtures were canted or twisted on the wall and two lights didn't even work. Overall just a miserable dump. Although we only needed it for the night on our road trip, I guess lesson learned.

Just needed a quick, easy, and clean room for the night passing through Phoenix. Convenient store across the street. Overall a good experience.

Horrible Staff and Rooms Smell

Posted Nov 6, 2015
Pros: overall BAD experience.
Cons: rooms need to be updated- paint in bathroom was peeling & chipping-floor was dirty. Carpet was damp & the "NON SMOKING" ROOM smelled like SMOKE.
Location: great location with waffle house within walking distance.
Front desk person wasnt even there-had to search for her then she acted like I was bothering her. She was not friendly at all-she made me feel like i was an inconvience. She never even greeted me.

Pros: Clean shower, location and room rate but now I know why
Cons: All the listed issues above. The whole hotel needs to be revamped to get ridd of the smoke smell and have all non smoking rooms.
The room was non smoking but the only thing non smoking about it was me. Every part of the hotel halls and room reeked of second hand smoke. Lighting was poor . 3 pout of the 6 lights were burnt out. Carpets had stains everywhere I did not walk bare foot on this carpet. The shower was clean though but the beds top mattress was sagging in the middle.

Unhappy with the location, the clientele and the room overall. Not what I expected from this hotel chain.

Our stay was during one of the hottest streaks in Phoenix. Because we were traveling by motorcycle and wanted to be off the road by noon I made several calls to be hotel and no one ever answered the phone I wanted to get an early check in . I finally called hotels.com and they contacted the facility for me and came back with the answer of yes I could get an early check in. So I asked who she talked to and she said it was Andy. I somehow felt it necessary to try to call the hotel again myself just to double check. Lo and behold someone answer the phone so I told them I gotta answer of yes from hotels.com that we could check in early. The manager told me no that is not true you cannot check in early and I said well can I speak with andy and he rudely told me and he was gone. So after arguing back and forth he hung up on me. When we arrived at the hotel we found the desk service not very friendly the rooms were minimally adequate the pool area was dirty the water was warm . DDefinitely would not recommend this particular days inn to anyone..1am-noon
