Expedia and Embassy Suites had a miscommunication about the number of nights we were staying. We paid Expedia for 3 nights and Embassy Suites only had us registered for two. Embassy Suites locked us out of our room and initially charged for the third night. We thankfully got that resolved the next day and checked out without additional charges. Upon returning home, I discovered my credit card was compromised and I had a number of fraudulent charges. Fortunately, I checked my card activity, found the fraud, and cancelled the card. The only place my card was used on the entire Phoenix trip was at Embassy Suites. While it is entirely circumstantial, it seems possible that someone on the Embassy Suites staff may have sold or given my card information to the people who committed the fraud. Overall not a great experience. This is the last time I will book travel with Expedia.
