Nice stay before flight home

Posted May 24, 2017
Pros: Besides all listed above, location to airport was good(20 minutes). Several nice restaurants next door, especially Village Tavern.
Cons: They could serve something at the bar, like giant pretzels, to go wth the great pina coladas!
Location: Lots of restaurants, close to downtown and old town to walk around. Didn't have time to golf, tho were several courses nearby.
We were so happy that we decided to stay 2 nights in Scottsdale after our trip to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. We needed some unwind and relax time, and the Gainey Suites provided all that and more!. At check in we were greeted by 2 lovely front desk people, one for each couple. The rooms exceeded our expectations. They were spacious and well appointed. I did find it a little strange that there were only 2 knives, forks, spoons, glasses, plates and mugs, tho! Breakfast was ample, there is a set buffet menu that changes each day. Food both mornings was ample. It was a nice touch that they had a mini reception from 5 to 7 every night. One night was spring rolls and potstickers, the next night winds. Salads both nights. Free wine and beer. A nice touch, and held me over to dinner. They pool offered sun and shade, and plenty of lounges. The towels were plentiful. The bar made great drinks. I could have easily stayed another day!

A perfect stay

Posted May 24, 2017
Pros: Clean, easy to get around, free breakfast, snacks and evening reception.
Location: Boarders a strip mall with all amenities. Huge fitness club and spa close by. Easy driving in the area to golf courses, hiking, malls and restaurants.
This hotel is a must stay in a very pricey Scottsdale area. Our rate was excellent which included a full breakfast and evening appies and wine...free. Also flavoured water and snacks in the afternoon, fruits and cookies...free. Nice touch. The location was excellent close to everything one needs. For a fee I highly recommend using the Village fitness centre and spa. It was an amazing facility about a five minute walk away. The rooms were big and clean, beds were very comfortable and having a full kitchen, big fridge and dishwasher was great. Pool area was smaller but very comfy furniture to relax in. The evening fire pits were also nice to sit around. Great staff and great service. Highly recommended to golfers, couples and business travelers. You want to check this hotel out!!!

Breakfast was AMAZING!! "Coffee maker" NOT.

Posted May 9, 2017
Pros: Great room, kitchenette.
Cons: Please put real coffee makers in the rooms.
Location: Great location for what I needed. Wasn't there to be a tourist, but there isn't much within walking distance.
Nice hotel/time share. I couldn't book my usual hotel and found this one close to it. Really nice hotel that serves and EXCELLENT breakfast!! Best "free" breakfast I think I have ever had. The bed was less than comfortable, but tolerable. The worst thing? The alleged "coffee maker" in the room. The absolute worst! And for a morning coffee drinker, it truly sucked. Overall, very nice hotel, great staff! PLEASE put decent coffee makers in the rooms. If you do, I'll come back.

Concise luxury.

Everything is within close walking distance. Great pool; 5-7 happy hour is awesome. The free food is seasoned and very, very good. You almost never get that with these complimentary food and drink hours. We will be back.

A nice surprise

Posted Apr 24, 2017
Absolutely loved our stay here. It's is not the most beautiful place when pulling up and we felt a little dissapointed, but what it lacks in curb appeal it makes up for in every other area. This is a very special comfortable quiet hotel. There are many details we noticed in our stay that make it unique. Super quiet rooms, rugs and curtains, and comfy furniture on the room patios- great pool with tons of chaises and beautiful breakfast in the morning on the patio- for free. Management was so accommodating. We will be back for sure!

Play ball- spring baseball

Posted Mar 7, 2017
Pros: Location. Mall next door had Pomo, a tavern and a upscale Thai restaurant- all very good! Big rooms.
Cons: New carpets in hallway, sink trickled water. Fix television reception.
Location: Great for food and getting to baseball games and old town.
Stayed in room 135. Big suite. Nice living room and kitchen. The television kept going out on 3 of 4 nights. Called desk, it will come back soon. I asked'what is soon'. No response. Worked well on the last night. Breakfast was soggy eggs and old bread. Excellent fruit. Very crowded.

Thanks so much for taking a moment to share your impressions with us. Allow me to apologize that you experienced TV interruption during your stay. Unfortunately, this was an unexpected disruption of service that our cable provider is working to correct. I also apologize that you found our breakfast, specifically the eggs and breads, to be unsatisfactory. That is very disappointing to hear as we truly strive to make each and every guest feel “at home” when they stay with us. Our Engineering Manager is aware of the TV issues and I will let him know about the leaky sink in the room you stayed. I will also let our Food and Beverage Manager know about the breakfast offerings. I can assure you both will discuss this with their staff to ensure we correct these issues and continue to strive to create a wonderful guest experience. I hope that you will give us the opportunity to redeem ourselves the next time your travels bring you back to Scottsdale, AZ. Until then, on behalf of all our Gainey Family, we wish you the very best and take care! Sincerely, Kara Mason, Revenue Manager

Great hotel with free breakfast and free drinks!

Posted Feb 25, 2017
Pros: Everything
Cons: Very little!
Location: Convenient mall close by.
Convenient location and good sized rooms. But the really good part was the quality of the free breakfast, different every day. Also between 5 and 7 in the evening were free drinks including beer or wine and hot/ cold snacks. The staff were really friendly in the bar, reception and hearth room and local shopping & restaurants were 5 minutes walk away. So what looked quite expensive initially turned to be really good value!

A little out of town but clean and spacious.

Posted Jan 24, 2017 on Hotels
This hotel is about a 10 minute drive from downtown Scottsdale. The hotel was nice and the room was spacious. We like having living area separated from the bedroom. It was very clean and updated. Beds/ pillows/ linens were nice. My only complaint is that our room was not cleaned the first day and when we asked at 3 why they said they left for the day. The second day the room was again not cleaned by 1pm and we had to ask again. Our biggest thing was we needed fresh towels. The happy hour and breakfast that is included is worth taking advantage of.

Hello Amy, Thanks so much for taking a moment to share the impressions of your recent visit with us. It absolutely makes our day to hear that you all very much enjoyed your stay from the accommodations being spacious and the offerings in the Hearth Room for breakfast and the evening reception to be worthwhile. We always appreciate feedback, both positive and negative, so we can improve our guest experience. I would like to apologize that your room was not serviced each day. Our Front Desk Staff, however, would have been able to bring you clean towels if requested. I will be sure to pass along your very kind and thoughtful comments to our entire team, who I know will be hugely appreciative and grateful!
