First off, out of 3 Phoenix area hotels I stayed at over 2 weeks this trip, this hotel had the best service by far. All the staff that I interacted with were professional and pleasant. This hotel is probably around 15 years old. My room didn't seem to have been renovated since. It was clean but a little beat up. Third floor and could hear footsteps through the ceiling. Location is great for shopping/entertainment and food. Easy access to entire west half of the valley including Surprise, Goodyear and Peoria. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again although, I'd request a top floor room.

Stayed for one night—last stayed here around 5 years ago at which time it was a solid 3 star. Walking in it smelled really musty with cleaner trying to cover it up. Our room was dingy, a/c was loud and it seemed run down. We went in the jacuzzi which was half full of water and dirty. Yuck. I booked because it was $100 cheaper than the Renaissance but I should have booked the Renaissance. We go to Glendale every spring but won’t be back to the Hampton Inn.

Our outdoor pool and whirlpool are desirable features for many of our guests, so we understand how disappointing it must have been that these amenities were unavailable during your stay. As part of the hotel's routine upkeep, from time to time, we are required to perform maintenance on different areas of the hotel. This is to ensure we are able to deliver a superior experience to our guests all year round. Unfortunately, in this instance, the pool and hot tub needed attention. Was super disappointed that Expedia couldn’t tell us the pool was closed. We did get an email after we arrived, but we would t have stayed here had we known. Also, the pool closure notice wasn’t on Hampton website until we complained, but they didn’t care anyway. These 300 ish foot rooms also were the smallest rooms I’ve ever seen. Never again.
