Secluded in the Valley of the SunPosted Oct 26, 2015
Pros: Quiet and secluded
Cons: The landmark hotel restaurant Lon's needs a little work on the dinner menu. A traditional breakfast menu would also be nice.
Location: There are many things to do since it is the Phoenix metro area. We were looking to just stay at the property without leaving since we live here.
I was looking for a local hotel for a weekend getaway. Hermosa Inn was fantastic. Quiet and very secluded. The fact that there are only 30+ rooms made it an ideal setting. Will definitely return.

Excellent service/beautiful locationPosted Oct 24, 2015
Pros: Bathroom was luxurious; patio and great restaurant. Great concierge.
Great overall experience. Service was exceptional; room was perfect. Lon's restaurant had a great ambiance with live music nightly. The fireplaces added to the ambiance. Construction at the facility made for a somewhat less than pleasant view/noise at times but the staff worked hard to compensate for the inconvenience.

Historic boutique getaway in PhoenixPosted Aug 24, 2015 on Hotels
We spent 2 nights here to celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary. We love this hotel which is so full of history. We loved the Allan Houser sculptures in the garden. We didn't love the uncovered parking lot in 114 degree heat or the fact that some of the hotel was under construction. Our room was lovely and quiet, though. We wished that there were some plates in the bar area to go along with the mugs and glasses. It was hard eating our snacks and leftovers. A microwave would have been very welcome too, instead of just a frig. Concierge was great and we enjoyed our meal in the dining room, with wine pairings. We loved walking through the kitchen garden at night too. Overall we were very pleased with our weekend getaway at the Hermosa.

A unique experiencePosted Aug 20, 2015
Pros: The setting of the rooms within the gardens created a feeling of exclusion and relaxation. The Hermosa isn't like anywhere else.
Location: A fairly quiet neighbourhood, but within easy reach of museums, galleries and shopping. Airport less than 30 mins away.
We booked the Hermosa for a chill out 2 days before our flight home. We were not disappointed. The room was well appointed and had all we needed. Lovely secluded veranda area from which to watch the humming birds, rabbits and quail over a morning coffee and pastry. The gardens are particularly pleasant, full of cactus and flowers and lots of statues by a local artist. The bar had a nice relaxing feel prior to dinner. The meal was brilliant. We had the tasting menu with wines and it was not notch. We would definitely stay here again.

Good, not great. Bathroom needs updating.Long walkPosted Aug 14, 2015 on Hotels
* Off the beaten path in a neighborhood * Internet was Decent - about 3/1mbps, good latency. * Rooms were individual casitas/duplexes * Squeeky bed * Bathroom was older and dingy, good water pressure * Rest of the room was decently updated * Tiny fridge, no microwave * TV Remote Didn't have INPUT or SLEEP buttons, slow to respond * Bed was comfortable on the firm side * Heard neighbor's opening and shutting doors next door * Very long walk from parking lot to room. * No Darkening shades, just "light filtering shade" * Staff was really friendly and helpful. * Onsite restaurant looked OK, but expensive. didn't eat there. * A/C Worked well, but was very noisy with a constant hum. * Sheets were clean, but not tucked in well. Comforter had a sheet or duvet wrapped around it.

Romantic get-away.Posted Aug 11, 2015 on Hotels
Lovely room in a lovely setting. Service is superb. Property is undergoing some renovation, hence not a full 5 star on appearance. Areas roped off, so not as easy to get to rooms. On site fine dining and casual dining. Rooms very clean, nice amenities in bathroom. Very quiet, quiet neighborhood. Lovely gardens.

Never staying anywhere else!!Posted Aug 9, 2015 on Hotels
Gorgeous spot, absolutely perfect including restaurant & bar. It was very quiet being off season for Phoenix but that suited us fine and the restaurant does get business at night from locals so it livened up. The staff was great, service excellent and even despite a little bit of sprucing up construction going on, it was honestly the most delightful place.
