Nice hotel 10 min from stadium

Posted Sep 3, 2016
The staff was great! Room was comfortable. Quiet except for the neighbor's slamming their door. But outdoor pool needed to be cleaned - lots of little bugs and leaves inside.

Room freshly renovated clean, smartly furnishished

Posted Aug 3, 2016
Pros: Room furnishing, breakfast, staff, location
Cons: Construction noise, although it was only mid-day, and my freshly renovated room was exceptional (construction had purpuse).
Location: Arrowhead Shopping area (huge) and Sports Complex.
Very kind staff, gregarious. Breakfast was absolutely exceptional. Even included biscuits and gravy. Hotel was partly under construction... good and bad... good because my room felt brand new, bad only because there was some noise on other floors mid-day. I will be a regular here now.

Comfortable hotel in convenient location

Posted Apr 21, 2016
Pros: See above
Cons: The lobby and rooms were comfortable but plain. However, the hotel is currently undergoing a floor-by-floor renovation.
Location: We were there for a family event and not sightseeing. However, we were within a mile of dozens of restaurants and stores.
The manager and staff were over-the-top-pleasant and helpful. Everyone from the manager to the maintenance crew were friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable. While it wasn't a luxury hotel, there were nice amenities in the rooms including hairdryers, an iron and ironing board, shampoo, conditioner and lotion, a micro-fridge and best of all--a Keurig and coffee pods. The complimentary breakfast was delicious every day. It was so much more than the usual Continental breakfast with just pastry and coffee. Breakfast was self-serve and consisted of a variety of selections from dry cereal to pancakes plus a variety of breakfast meats, breads and pastries. Self-serve thermoses of hot decaf and regular coffee were available 24 hours a day as were a selection of tea bags and hot water. Apples and bananas were also available 24/7.

Pros: The breakfast!
Cons: The room service was really really slow, we typically didn't have our room made up until 4:30-5:30 every day.
Location: The location is good for Peoria and Glendale but a little far out for Phoenix itself or the airport. Lots of restaurants in the area.
The hotel is undergoing renovation but you wouldn't know it except for the paint drops on the stairs. The management apologized for that.

Issy at the front desk was great. Out tub hadn't been seen and the next day it was fixed. She set aside cookies and towels when we came back to the room. The staff made up for the renovations occurring in the hotel.

FIND ANOTHER PLACE

Posted Feb 17, 2016
Pros: Breakfast was decent.
Cons: Customer service, clean updated rooms.
Location: Next door to Cracker Barrel. Arrowhead mall and other chain stores less than a mile.
Room 323 was old and tired. Wall paper falling in the bathroom shower. Rust behind the toilet. Bed hard with old sheets. Carpet and chair was dirty. No creamer/sugar for mini k-cup machine and not good coffee. Ice machines did not work on 2nd or 3rd floors. Ice machine worked on the first floor. Fourth floor was closed due to remodel work being done. I also reserved a suite with a double bed but got a king bed in regular room. Not what I requested. Rude hotel clerk on 2/12/16. I got there around 2:40 pm. The clerk was no where to be seen. My friend calls the hotel phone to see if there is someone who could check me in. Finally, she shows up and rudely tells me that check in is at 3:00 p.m. That they were short staffed and rooms weren't ready. We waited in the lobby until 3 and at that time apparently the room was ready. A few minutes early should not have made any difference. Having been up and flown in from the east coast I was a little tired. I don't recommend staying there. Find a classier place. While the location was decent the rest of the hotel stinks. The breakfast wasn't bad. Oh parking in the front lot allowed the birds to poop all over my car. Guess they didn't care for this place either. lol.

Hotel in need of facelift!

Posted Feb 15, 2016
Cons: See above
Location: Very secluded. Only one restaurant within walking distance.
Staff was pleasant enough, but hotel is in need of new carpet, paint, and cleaning. Large stains on sofa and carpet in room, as well as hallways. Fixtures outdated.

Close to what we are doing.

Posted Feb 11, 2016
Cons: It would be nice if we had a small refrigerator.
We have stayed here before. We like it because it's easy off/easy on to the freeway. However, it's tucked back into a quiet area so that you barely hear the cars. The Agua Fria River runs in between the freeway and the hotel. There is a great jogging/walking/bike path along the River which runs a long way. The hotel is a little tricky to find because it's on 84th Street off Bell Road, kind of back in an industrial area, but that's what makes it such a great location. We feel it's a safe location. There is a Cracker Barrel next door across the parking lot. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is roomy and clean. The beds are pretty comfortable. There is a coffee maker on the nice long sink/vanity counter. I would like to have a small refrigerator but that's not a reason not to stay there. The complimentary breakfast served in the large lobby has a good variety; fruit, cereal, a hot egg and meat entre, pancake maker, oatmeal with chopped nuts and raisins available. Many items are available all day if you need a snack and fresh cookies in the evening. Several blocks away there are a dozen excellent restaurants like the Tilted Kilt, Elephant Bar, Texas Roadhouse, Firebirds, Cheesecake Factory, PF Changs, I Hop and many more. Also there is shopping but have not shopped so not sure of the stores. There is also a Costco close to the area. For us this is an excellent hotel and we will definitely stay again.
