A good, reasonably priced place to stay.

Posted Jan 16, 2017
Pros: Hotel and rental car cheaper than a downtown hotel = freedom of having a car. Checkout time is 11:00 AM but they let me have an hour extension.
Location: It is very close to the Phoenix Zoo. Some Restaurants and a bar within walking distance but most staying here will probably have a rental car.
12 to 20 minutes from downtown Phoenix and way cheaper than staying in a downtown hotel. I was attending a forum in a downtown hotel which charged me $20.00 to park all day but that, a rental car, and the cost of staying at the Hospitality Suite Resort in Scottsdale was far cheaper than just the hotel room had I stayed in the hotel hosting the Forum. Parking at the Hospitality Suite Resort in Scottsdale is included in the room rate. I booked this hotel as part of a flight, room and rental car package. It was not the cheapest hotel because I was recently greatly disappointed when going for too cheap and cost is not the only factor for me when choosing lodging.

Cons: unfortunately they are not running their shuttle to the airport, which was very convenient. Cab ride was only $15 so that was okay.
Room was a good size, had all the kitchenette items needed for a long stay.

Thank you for your comments. The shuttle is missed by several guests, but it was no longer feasible for us to provide the service. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

We apologize that you don't feel you received value in your stay. We did power wash the exterior last week and some water may have got into the rooms - they should have been checked, again our apologies.

Helpful staff

Posted Dec 13, 2016
Pros: Helpful staff.
Cons: More accurate depiction of the facility online.
Location: Close to Old Town Scottsdale, easily accessible eating places, easy access to the Phoenix Zoo and other places tourists might wish to visit.
Not what we expected from the pictures online. Desk staff were especially helpful and courteous. The "heated pool" was cool and didn't help, given the cool temperatures. The full size refrigerator and stove pictured was not included. We had a small compact refrigerator and a two burner hotplate. Can't complain too much, given the fact that we got a great price on the airfare, hotel, and car rental for the trip.

Thank you for your review. I'm sorry for the confusion - we have pictures online of 2 different room layouts. It sounds as though the picture you are referring to is the larger-One Bedroom. This one costs slightly higher than the Studio. We apologize about the pool in building B. It is being fixed today. We were awaiting a part. Building A pool was heated. You should have been notified at check-in.

I needed a room at the last minute, and this one was the best combination of low price and convenient location in my Expedia search results. When I checked in I was very pleased to discover that the quality exceeded my expectations. This turned out to be an exceptional value. I would stay here again.

Might Compete Well With Barracks From The Civil Wa

Posted Nov 26, 2016
Pros: The desk clerk, Delana, and the maids were the only saving grace. They were great, but didn't have much to work with at this decayed hotel.
Cons: The elevators and grounds could be cleaned and repaired. The rooms could be updated. Especially, the mold could be removed from the showers. Towels
Location: Located on edge of Scottsdale near airport, but doesn't represent the area well.
Delana, the check-in clerk, was very positive about her job, and tried to meet our needs. She was excellent. However, the hotel is in great need of repair and maintenance. The room we got first was filled with mold in the shower, and the toilet wouldn't flush properly--very weak. Delana apologized, offered free breakfast at Jaxon's, and gave us another room. In that room, the toilet flushed properly, and the mold was not quite as bad in the shower, but still a bit gross. Only one washcloth was provided, so we got another. The next day, after room was serviced, again we had only one wash cloth. However, the bed was nicely made, and sheets and towels were clean. The elevators are trashed, both in cleanliness and damage/wear to floors and lights in control panel. Holes were taped over with masking tape. Except for the pleasantness of the staff, we felt very uncomfortable. I'm sure Civil War veterans would have appreciated the accommodations when they were new or if they were updated. We won't be back ever. We have had 3 rooms in our 50 years of travel that were worse, though, so we didn't give this the lowest rating.

Thank you for being so thorough. We have never denied our need for remodel. We are actually in the process now. (You may have noticed if you were here M-F) We will halting our remodel in January and begin again in June. We hope to have everything complete by next December. This January about 1/4 of the rooms will be complete and ready to reserve.

Pros: See the above
Cons: See the above
Location: See the above
The food- Extremely helpful staff, Microwave and mini fridge. Clean, Swimming pool and jaucuzzi, Short driving distance to shopping and restaurants, Nice courtyard The average- Dated ( carpeting and paint ), Plumbing ( leaky faucets, shower no bathtub), If you can ignore the dated physical attributes, it is a pleasant place to stay.

Thank you for your comments. You are correct. We are dated and we do need a renovation - and are in the process. We should have about 22 rooms completed in December and we will be starting on the remaining next summer. We hope to see you again. Happy Holidays.
