Remote & Relaxing Getaway

Posted Aug 11, 2015
Pros: The pool & jacuzzi were fabulous. The views, especially at night with lights or a thunderstorm, were great!
Cons: The front desk.
This is a wonderful hotel. It was a bit out if town but convenient. The grounds were beautiful, situated in a upscale golf c!ub. Our room was a one bedroom suite with private balcony overlooking the Sonoran desert & golf course. Very quiet. The hotel is lacking a restaurant or dining facility so one has to drive a couple of miles into town for restaurant or grocery store. The pool & spa were wonderful. Hardly any people, it was off season. The spa was just the right temperature & the pool was a heated to perfection. It was open until midnight. The front desk is a little confused, they seem to have difficulty keeping track of guests & room locations, but overall it is a wonderful place to stay & relax. Mike M.

they put me in a regular room when I first got there even though I was booked for a deluxe suite I brought it to their attention after I realized. the clerk said his hotel rooms were all suites. I booked a deluxe suite. and I showed him the paperwork and he said yes I guess you did and after confrontation he did get me what I was booked for. I wanted this room for the jacuzzi tub but the jacuzzi tub did not work. I thought with the $50 spa treatment I would not have to pay an extra $50 which I ended up paying and this made me very very unhappy. moving from one room to another at a hundred and eight degrees is no fun especially when someone in your party is handicapped. if you are handicapped this is not a good place. the spa is uphill all the way. they should actually give you a ride to the spa. I was so short of breath by the time I got to the top of the hill I'm not sure I wanted a treatment and I had sweat rolling down me. everything is built on a hill. if you want something to eat you have to get into the car walk up and down hill to your car and go to the golf course restaurant. no fun for us. the Eagle view Nest has the best hamburger and salads at the golf course we have ever had.
