Gutes Hotel im Stadtzentrum

Posted Sep 29, 2016

Stylish downtown hotel

Posted Sep 24, 2016
Location: CVS pharmacy, restaurants, shops, convention center.
Great amenities, convenient central location and comfortable room with city views are reasons I chose and enjoyed staying at the Kimpton Palomar. Staff is professional, friendly and accommodating, setting me up with a printer when I needed it and mailing my postcard. Room service and food also excellent!

Nice hotel, but lots of things are inconvenient.

Posted Sep 13, 2016
Pros: Location. New everything.
Location: Close to the arena, where events are usually held. Great food and bars all around the area.
The location is close to everything downtown. Unfortunately, there were more bad experiences than good. 1. PARKING SUCKS. There is no designated parking for hotel guests only. You are sharing it at cityscape, where it is open to the public, residents and hotel guests. Plus, regardless of which structure you would park, there is some distance just to get to the hotel. If you want to shell out $30 for valet services, feel free, it's not that much of a difference of $23+ dollars for self parking. Warning, if there is an event going on in the area, good luck! 2. Staff were a little unsure a few things. They claimed as a hotel guest, parking was complimentary. I asked 2 different people behind the front desk and they both stated that parking was complimentary. I questioned that, as I read elsewhere that it wasn't, but it came from the horse's mouth, so why correct them? Well, it is not and I paid $27 dollars while parking in a cityscape structure that they claimed would free. They stated that if there were any issues, call them. Guess what?! I called and no one answered for 10 minutes. So, I paid the $27 out of pocket because I was tired of waiting. Recommendation, if you have no car or rental car and all you have to do is walk or you'll have people in the area that can bring you around, this place is great. If you are driving, there are lots of hotels in the vicinity that would be better and convenient. Save the headache!

Hi Roger, Thank you for reaching out, I am very sorry about the parking challenge you encountered while with us. By no means is this the norm but I know we had an opportunity to rectify this for you and the fact that we missed on that is truly disappointing. I hope have the chance to welcome you back and I will be sure you see the parking adjustment reflected back. All the best.

Drake Concert Right Across The Street

Posted Sep 12, 2016
Pros: The hotel was clean and the staff was great.
Cons: If anything we know the concert was that weekend but the parking was tough. Not to many spots to park with all the people there that weekend.
Location: There a lot of restaurants in the downtown area.
Great hotel close to where we wanted to be. The concert was at Talking Stick Resort Arena right across the street.

Thanks T! Concert nights are some of the most exciting but also the most congested for the downtown area. We have become the hub for these due to the amazing proximity. All the best!

Good Downtown PHX Hotel

Posted Sep 11, 2016
Pros: The hotel had a modern feel to it, the decor was cool.
Cons: Please have at least one vending machines to buy cold drinks! Mini-bar and having to walk to CVS are bad options, when it is hot outside.
Location: Chase Field Good eats Galleries Convention center
We went to a baseball game in Chase Field and gallery shopping. we were able to walk, also access to very good eats.

No coffee maker!

Posted Sep 8, 2016
Nice staff, great location (although I heard pounding music until approx. 11:00 p.m.--the Drake concert at the Arena across the street?) but the only coffee was thru room service! (And to access the "free" wifi you had to sign up to join some "club" by giving Kimpton lots of information about yourself.)

Drake sure was a good time, but we too wish the traffic would quiet a little sooner sometimes. While we do the coffee service different than most, it is complimentary every morning in our Living Room. Hope to see you back soon!

This hotel is truly fabulous!! From the second you step out of your vehicle to the brief moment you spend checking out you and your party are treated as if you are gold. And it is a genuine feeling that stays with you during your entire stay. This hotel truly enhances Phoenix and its rise towards being one of the most desirable cities in the world to visit.

Stylish hotel for adults

Posted Aug 30, 2016
We stayed in a skyline studio room on a Sunday night with 12 month old son. The hotel staff were friendly yet professional, and the room was clean, stylish, and spacious. We were so excited since the moment we stepped into the room. We loved the bathroom with the deep bath tub and nice corner room view towards the stadium. Cons were... It was Sunday night so not all the restaurants were open. Swimming pool was filled with adults enjoying the pool bar so not really for kids. (Actually there were no kids there). And neighboring room (not sure if it was next door or above/ below) was having party with loud music till 2:30am. The hotel itself was great but I felt most of the customers were adults and not so family friendly.

Thanks for the review May! I am thrilled to hear you enjoyed your stay and at the same time sorry for the noisy neighbor. Summer weekends here draw a crowd due to the fantastic amenities in the downtown location.
