This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. It is extremely outdated, run down, and dirty. There were stains on our bedding, stains in the carpet, the desk had nails coming out of it, the chair was broken, the tv is extremely small and doesn’t work properly, and the elevator wasn’t functioning properly either. It was quite scary actually. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially for the hefty price it costs to stay here. Run away!

This is an old property. Old is just fine as long as it is maintained and clean. This hotel was not acceptable on so many levels. The pool and spa were unusable because they were so dirty. Housekeeping is not provided on a multi night stay unless 24 hours notice of need is given - that was not communicated. The room carpets, shades and furniture are filthy. Hotel breakfasts are just fine for me. This one is not. At least put out some scrambled eggs. Two of our four mornings the only protein was processed bacon or sausage. To top it all off - the food is cold. Food is not being held to proper temperature. Now the staff - an abomination. Several (not all) front desk staff were rude - beyond rude in one case. I tried to communicate that our television was non functioning - so the next person might be able to watch TV. The young female at the desk actually threw and slammed a NOT available plastic hard cover notice at me. If your only desire is to be close walking distance to the Padres/Mariner's stadium this serves that purpose - otherwise The Hampton is just a tiny bit further away.

The entrance door by our room was broken, and had been for a while and there was no one to fix it. The outlet for our TV was out and, again. no maintenance person available. We were informed that he was on his days off. Since things were broken when we got there they should have been fixed before his days off .

They allow pets for an additional fee, but both nights I could hear a dog barking in an adjacent room every time somebody walked down the hallway, including after 10 pm, and I had to be at work early. Commented to the desk clerks twice, one was dismissive, the other said she would call up to the room. The first night the noise was supplemented by a family with rowdy, noisy kids in the next room yelling at each other and whining. The "Free" breakfast was cheap and unremarkable, including tasteless bacon and those nasty powdered eggs made from who knows what. The older rickety elevators were making weird scary noises, glad I did not get trapped in one for the weekend. Other than that, the room itself was nice and the location was good, but it was not cheap either.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The property was dirty. There were stains on the couch and carpet. Everything was sticky and rusted, not at all up to date. There was a mildew smell in the rooms. They refused us check out when we had to find another hotel because of the conditions and continued to run our reservation even though we asked 3 times to check out and have refused our refund even when we left within 2 hours of checking in. 0/10 would NOT recommend to anyone.

The bed in my room was hard, I was having an issue with my card key every time when I tried to enter the room. The clerk said something was wrong with the door handle that I would need to lift the handle while I was putting the card key in.

What we didn’t know was that the hotel was locked closed from 11pm to 6am. My husband had a long surgery and he was discharged from the hospital at 12:30am. We arrived back at the hotel to find the doors locked. Unfortunately the two exterior doors we found did not accept our room key. Here we are, two old people, one who could not walk and was in post surgery pain. It was too cold to stay in the car and too late to find another hotel. We drove around the parking lot looking for someone to help us. We then saw a third door that was propped open with a rock. Finally we were in bed at 1:30am. This could have ended badly. I contacted the chain head office who offered nothing, not even an apology.

For starters, orbitz claimed on the website that there was no pet fee. Upon checking in the hotel charged us a $75 pet fee. This was not expected. The rooms are in need of a complete remodel. Everything is outdated. I would expect a little more from a La Quinta hotel. I’ve stayed at really nice La Quintas before. Our particular room was not the cleanest. The bathroom cleanliness was questionable. The bathtub had a clogged drain so when we took a shower we were standing in 3 inches of water. The room had a musty odor and the air conditioner unit sounded like a jet engine. I will not be staying at this particular hotel again.

This place is in need a remodel. It’s decent but a remodel is much needed. The shower head was rusty. Around the toilet was rusty as well. The shower wouldn’t drain the water right away, by the time I got Out of the shower the water in the tub was above my ankles. The floor has red stains all over. Honestly such a nice location for the hotel to look like that. What a shame.

Not a great stay. Some of the room outlets did not work. Bathroom floor showed evidence of sink leak. Breakfast was below the La Quinta standard. Biscuits & Gravy was the hot selection, not the usual Hot egg dish and meat side. Overall a disappointment. Even the Hotels.com dates on the review are incorrect.

What I DIDNT like was I was blind sided with a 150.00 dollar deposit and 25 additional as well for pet 25.oo charge.i was never told this or seen this on your web site or Expedia which I booked it through..I have to go deposit money into my account to cover the deposit cause you don't take cash,then after all that I finally get up to my room tv don't work.. so instead of a different room giving me,they decided to get insttein and repair mine .unreal waste of time.

I’ve never had to pay fee for Incidentals up front 150. Dollars charged to my card and 5 days to get it back this is Highway robbery. If I would have known this up front before I booked the room I would have went somewhere else. La Quinta is making a lot of interest money . Never stay again
