I went to this location one day early to ensure everything was in order. When I arrived, I was under the impression that I had upgraded my room from a studio to a one bedroom. The first person that helped me was awesome! When I came back the next day to check in after what I thought was all clear through my reservation and I was placed in the one bedroom that I had requested. I was wrong! When I went to the room and realized that I was placed in a studio, I went back to the from desk to find out why I was not in a one bedroom, they informed me that it was never completed on my reservation. I tried explaining to them that I had paid for the upgrade yesterday through the booking company in from of the employee working yesterday. I was refused the upgrade and told there were no more one bedrooms available and I couldn’t move to one if I wanted to.
The place was empty!!! There was another employee who flat out told me that there were plenty rooms available! One bedrooms? He stated “yes”! However when he went to change my current room he had to retract his statement. However they could put me in a nice viewing room by the pool and golf course. My thinking then was if those were open, then why wasn’t I placed I one of those to begin with if they were available?!!! Needless to say, I don’t mind spending money on nice amenities from time to time, but I do expect to be treated better regardless of what level of guest category they put me in!!!
