Expedia tried to save money at the expense of safety. I requested the Big Main Marriott Hotel where my Workshop was being held. Instead, without telling me, Expedia booked me in a much smaller Residence Inn by Marriott which was more than 3 blocks away from the Big Main Marriott Hotel. I did not discover that I was in the wrong hotel until a few minutes before the Workshop started. I was told by the desk clerk to just walk around the corner 3 blocks, under a freeway and crossing several busy streets with cars turning in all directions. It was very dangerous for a senior citizen of advanced age alone. The only seats left were at the back of the Workshop Room and I could not hear the questions being asked. During the break, unable to find a shuttle, I had to run back over 3 blocks in heavy traffic to get my suitcase from my room and checkout before the 12:00 Noon deadline. After telling the same desk clerk who had told me to walk around the corner only 3 blocks about how much danger the heavy traffic posed for me, he finally reluctantly called for a shuttle driver to take me and my suitcase back to the Big Main Marriott Hotel for the rest of my Workshop.
