Anniversary getaway

For an anniversary getaway, we were disappointed. We had to call for housekeeping right away to remove a condom. Ugh! There were not enough towels for two people. We asked and did receive them. After that first time housekeeping came, they never came back to straighten the bedroom nor pick up dirty towels. In the sitting room, the couch was extremely uncomfortable and very old. Also, the website's pictures and descriptions do not match reality. On the positive side, loved the size of the suite and the bed was relatively comfortable. Nick and Janice were very nice. Sad to say we won't be staying there again.

I am sorry your stay did not meet your expectation. This certainly does not represent who we are as a resort - we strive to deliver the best service in the valley; we fell short here. Pros: Nothing
Cons: Needs alot of improvements
Room had an odor that would not leave even after running the air. No black out curtains and the outside hall lights lit up the room all night. The pool is desperately in need of renovation. Bed uncomfortable.

Great weekend getaway!

The outside area should be updated. When you drive in to the complex, it doesn't seem friendly and welcoming. But everything else, especially the rooms are awesome!!

Adequate conditions for the price. Air conditioning blew on you when in bed. People talking and smoking outside of our room. Talking took place early in the morning and late at night. No shuttle service. Pool was nice.

We arrived to a very dated hotel that did not have the amenities their website said they had. Our room was old and in the back although the entire place was practically vacant. When we addressed the issues with the front desk, we were told they didn't know what was in their website so we showed them. They said it was false advertising, no restaurant, no bar, old rooms with no microwaves or DVD players unless we asked for them. Weeds growing by the pool, so we cancelled our last 2 nights & moved immediately to a Hyatt. Luckily the manager refunded our 2 nights probably to shut us up since she said she "couldn't build us a place to eat". In short, don't waste your money because you will leave feeling cheated & blamed for trusting the Scottsdale Resort & Athletic Clubs website. Bait & switch at its best!

Don't bother

It was the worst experience I have had. The couple next door got into a rousing fight at 3am and police were called. The next day they burned grease in their room and my room smelled like brunt oil when I got there at 930 pm. I did not feel safe.

Not a "Resort" but a good hotel

In reading the reviews, I was a little nervous about staying here but my experience was good. It's called a resort but it's not a place where you could just stay at all day and be entertained like a true "Resort" But, I relaxed by the pool for a few hours, they have tennis courts and a gym and my room was fine. The bed was comfortable and room was quiet.

Quiet Location, Clean Room

Pros: Comfortable bed and friendly staff.
Cons: See above.
The bed in our room was comfortable and the bathroom spacious and clean. However, the room was very dark, as the only window looked onto a storage room in the corridor, there was one desk chair and no other options for seating and the carpeting was buckled, allowing for a tripping hazard.
