Nice clean quiet hotel. Easy to access the city by bus. I would recommend it to anyone.

Great place to stay in Dublin!

Posted Sep 7, 2017
This hotel is away from the city centre but in a lovely area just south of Phoenix Park.(largest enclosed park in Europe!) it is just a bus ride or taxi ride to the city centre(14-20 mins) The hotel is old but has been refurbished and has every convenience!Staff are friendly and helpful! Breakfast included in price is varied and generous.the pub / restaurant has delicious food!

Our stay in Dublin

The room was big and clean, it was comfortable. The food wasgreat although if you ordered from the bar, you had a bit of a long wait. Breakfast was very good a full hot Irish breakfast.

The breakfast was good. It could vary from cereal, fresh fruit, to a full Irish breakfast. The hotel is near a bus stop. The staff informed us how to use the bus but did not inform us how to get an electronic pass. Without the electronic pass, exact fare in coins must be paid to the bus driver. The hotel was good but is located in an area without attractions or restaurants (besides the hotel restaurant). So a car or public transportation is needed.

Freindly staff, good service. Don't be put by the brutal looks outside, inside it's updated, modern and clean.

Dissapointed

Posted Apr 13, 2017 on Hotels
Travelled to Dublin for work. Booked into West County Hotel. I have been using the hotel since early 2000. on this occasion the hotel appears to be under refurbishment. However, the refurbishment to date does not reflect the €40 increase in room rate especially as the rooms are advertised at the hotel entrance as starting at €44.50 per person. The bathroom in the room was small with the sliding door on it of very poor fitting with gaps at the sides allowing little room for privacy.
