Amazing time at Amatara. The resort and staff were great …. Did yoga and all the teachers were nice ! I enjoyed my sea view villa … breakfast was delicious … a lot of choice … their bread pudding is just the best! The rooftop bar has an amazing view.

High quality and tremendous service!
A really fantastic, chill resort. Top quality from the rooms and pool and especially the staff. Super accommodating. And the local shops, restaurants and massage parlors just outside the front gate provided excellent service and quality.

In general, the facilities of this property is old and not very functional. The front dest didn’t give the type of room we reserved 2 months ago instead of excused upgrades us to better standard room, which was not true better. That area around that property is not very ready for international tourists visit and some of them are really not friendly with tourist from China especially

For my birthday, I decided to take a trip to Asia and stayed at Amatara in Phuket for part of the trip. It was very nice and peaceful, the staff was very accommodating and respectful. They even made my special day even more special by singing happy birthday for me at breakfast and bringing me a cake. To top it all off, after visiting James Bond island, I came back to find my bed covered in rose petals spelling out HBD, there was also a ‘delicious’ towel cake to complete the scene. The spa services were excellent. I spent 6hrs one day getting pampered, scrubbed and massaged. The ultimate detox spa treatment was well worth it. I continued to reap the benefits weeks after treatment. To sum it up, it was a great experience and I look forward to visiting Phuket again and staying at Amatara.

If your are thinking about booking this resort, BOOK IT! My fiancé and I made memories that will last a lifetime. The resort was beautiful and clean with spectacular views. The food was amazing and they had a wide selection. The staff was amazing and friendly and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. First I have to say thanks for Jasper at the reception she was a great person.. I stayed at private pool room and i will recommend room 59 or 70 for the full privacy if you are looking for one .. everything was great and definitely will stay here again

Good : customer service. Front desk staff very helpful and friendly. Buggy service is quick. Beautiful tiny strip of beach. Good spa therapists. Daily free laundry service. Toiletries good quality as are towels. Bad: breakfast. Have to make own tea coffee. Selection not great. Flies everywhere. Limited fruit. Nuts cheeses etc. rooms are dated. Changed first room due to damp smell and none existent ocean view as covered with over grown trees. Poor food at restaurants therefore had to eat out every night. Terrace never swept and sun beds are dirty and old. I don’t get the wellness element. Have to pay for Pilates yoga classes. Standard gym. Confusing Ugly: stayed Villa 33 which was rather spooky. Didn’t sleep kept hearing odd sounds :/ doors slamming in the middle of the night. Very dim lighting and no switch works! woke up to dead cockroaches strewn on floor and AC packed up. It’s bugs galore in the room! Massive spiders, red ants, cockroaches and lots of mosquitos!

Short getaway!
The main pool is one of the main highlights. The room and some of the common amenities are dated. Some kind of refresh is needed. The beach is private and safe, could consider revamping to make it more exciting.

A very beautiful and impressive resort
The entrance to the hotel is amazing and jaw dropping as it sits on a beautiful hill with gorgeous views. The spa in the hotel was to us the very peak of the hotel and was top class. We arrived to our stay after staying at much more exclusive and expansive resort and we encountered some differences between them. On the one hand, it's obvious to get less when you pay less. However, as a 5 star luxury resort we expected a bit more when it comes to small details mainly. overall, it was a great resort and we enjoyed many of its facilities

Lovely hotel with quiet private beach and the private pool option was amazing. The thing that impressed me most was the lengths one of the staff, Toi, went to in returning a laptop cable to me which I had forgotten. Even though my fault completely she managed to find time to post to me in Bangkok where we were staying for our last few days holiday. So, thank you so much to her!

Such a beautiful and clean resort with amazing views and an amazing, friendly staff. They are so accommodating and make your travels as easy and amazing as it can be. From transportation, to decorating the rooms for occasions, to beautiful romantic bubble baths, to private dinner with your own chef and waiter on the beach or in your own villa by the poolside. If I am ever lucky enough to come back to Phuket, Amatara is where I will be staying!

The hotel is very nice and very beautiful. The service is good but can be improved and I personally expected more. The maintenance in the hotel is not so good and the old rooms are full of mosquitoes at night. I booked rooms with pools and one room arrived without a sitting area. The food is nice and there is a lot of room for improvement. The beach is not that good but other than that it was really nice.
