We were very happy with service of staff in hotel, cleanliness. The breakfast buffet catered to all tastes good selection of western and local foods. Kamala beach is a quieter beach away from craziness of Patong. Although it was very easy to get to Patong by the shuttle bus from the hotel for a small fee. Only 15 minutes away. We will be back again.

Situated right next to the beachPosted Nov 1, 2015
Pros: Location right next to the beach, adults only
Cons: Brighter decor in rooms
This large but friendly hotel has spacious rooms but they seem a little dark initially. They are kept very very clean and have the usual drink making facilities and a really large fridge. We had a Grand room pool view deluxe with views over the lobby pool and one of the other pools. The breakfast had a more than ample variety of choices and staff were again friendly. There are a choice of bars/restaurants for other lunches/evening dining right by the beach. The beach is good quality and in the last day we noticed they had segregated an area for safe swimming away from the jet skis. There seemed very little in Kamala itself which was the only downside. The hotel does have a very good tailor on site which we used to great satisfaction. There is also an on site dive shop which give a twice weekly pool session for scuba diving which gives you a great opportunity to try with very friendly staff.

Unser Zimmer roch stark muffig, was evtl. an der derzeitigen Regenzeit / hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit lag.

Second time stayingPosted Oct 17, 2015
We stayed at this hotel in 2012 and loved it so decided to come back again hoping that it was still as great as we remembered it to be. It was actually even better than we remembered! We love everything about this hotel from the perfectly kept grounds to the beautiful pools and delicious food at the restaurant. We will be back again!

Super goed hotel!Posted Sep 12, 2015
Super goed! Dinner ook heel goed en betaalbaar! Prachtig uitzicht vanuit het restaurant by the sea! Elke dag wordt je kamer schoon gemaakt. Elke dag schone handdoeken en 2 flessen water in he koelkast. Min punten badkuip lekte.

Large Resort with plenty of options in Quiet AreaPosted Sep 9, 2015
Pros: Relaxed atmosphere, the many pools, restaurant on the beach which made for lovely relaxing meals and the room.
Cons: More attentive service, pool side service, longer pool hut hours and private massage areas.
Location: The location is right on the beach though swimming isn't always an option and there isn't much to do. You would stay here for a quite relaxing holiday
Stayed in the low season of September 2015. Immediately got a room upgrade for free on check in. Room service and the restaurant were super quick and quite nice. Buffet Breakfast was also pretty good. The room was large and the air conditioner worked very well. Taxis are always available so no wait at the counter and are fixed at a competitive price. The free group exercise classes were excellent - the instructors were great! The massage sala was ok (if you are ok with people being able to see you getting a rub down) but you cannot charge it to your room like everything else. The pools were always clean and there are many to choose from with two swim up bars available. There is a minimarket and an ATM if you need it which are pretty useful. Only disappointment was that the service at the restaurant and bars was a bit hard to get sometimes but I think this might be a cultural thing as I noticed it in other places too. There were a three restaurants but the only one open at the time was the one by the sea. The beach infront of the resort was clean and nice to lay on with palm trees but there was often a rip right infront of the resort with the life savers some way down the beach. I also got pretty badly bitten by sea lice! Not too much to do in town but if you are looking for a holiday with cocktails by the pool this place is great for a lazy holiday.

A beautiful beach location away from the noisePosted Aug 31, 2015 on Hotels
Kamala Beach Resort is beautifully located right on the beach-front and away from traffic and noise. It was very peaceful and the setting was relaxing. The complex is very large and there are 4 pools so there is plenty of room for everyone. The room was spacious and the bed was the most comfortable we have experienced during our travels. The TV channels were for Europeans rather than English speaking Aussies. The breakfasts gave ample choices with food. Most of the staff were friendly. Overall a pleasant stay!!
