Spacious 2 bedroom suite with young childrenPosted Nov 14, 2015
Pros: The pool, the room and kids world.
Cons: The staff cleans the room everyday but out of 4 nights only change bed sheets once. They sweeps the floor but not mopping.
Location: There's a mini mart, 2 restaurants, a spa just outside of the hotel. Beach is just 5-8 mins walk. Is definitely a quiet n safe hotel to chill out.
Upon reaching, the staff knew my name n check in was a breeze. Service really good overall from hotel staffs. The room I had was good at 2 floor facing pool. My child 2 years had a great time with the pool n kids world. However breakfast spread was the same everyday hence a little boring. Great that hotel provides thb100 per way per pax to patong jungceylon everyday, but because of the timing we opted to take a taxi back ourselves at thb500 ourselves for the return. There's 2 other restaurants n spa a stones throw away. Walking to the beach is not as far as other reviews says. I'm a satisfied guest so thank you for the nice experience.

Great hotelPosted Oct 9, 2015
Great hotel. Great staff. Great service. We were put on the 4th floor (top) which was great for the pool views and views around the hotel for the forest but a killer on your legs everyday walking up and down them in the heat as they have no lifts. The room 1416 was a great size for a family of 4, 2 separate bedrooms one king and two king singles. The only thing the bedrooms could have is a mirror in each one, instead there was a mirror in the hallway and in the bathroom. Restaurant breakfast buffet was fantastic lots of choice and the same for lunch and dinner with great choices. Beverages and food within the hotel are pricey compared to outside restaurants and shops, But you can purchase drinks outside the hotel in the shop and drink around the pool. Overall a great holiday and would definitely recommend swissotel kamala.

Great for familiesPosted Sep 30, 2015
Pros: Pool was great, rooms spacious
Cons: Only one toilet in family rooms is problematic, beds are just too hard even with optional mattress toppers, happy hour offer too limited
Location: Quiet location, beach is good for swimming even in rainy season, decent restaurants on the beach
Swissotel Kamala is best suited to families with kids. Facilities clean and in good repair, pool is great. Location nice and quiet, 10 minute walk to the beach, 15 minutes to beach restaurants. Minimart, 3x restaurants, laundry service, tour bookings, taxis, tailors, massage/spa, hair braiding and souvineers right outside hotel, Kamala town about 20 minute walk. Staff helpful when required, but not overly attentive. Breakfast buffet adequate. This is not a five-star facility, so don't expect the perfection and attention to detail you would get with more luxurious properties.

Swissotel PhuketPosted Aug 19, 2015 on Hotels
The Swissotel offers a pretty good service with a staff that is extremely helpful and dedicated. Facilities are quite good too. Although very spacious, rooms are relatively dark but provide a high level of comfort.

Kamala holidayPosted Aug 4, 2015 on Wotif
Hotel rooms are quite roomy and air con is efficient and quiet Furniture is a little aged and in need of replacement Bathroom is way too small Staff are friendly and efficient especially the breakfast crew Fitness centre is well equipped I have stayed at a range of both 4 and 5 star resorts in Kamala and would rate Swissotel in the top 3 although Cape Sienna Resort is much better if you do not want the noise of families and loud Russians day and night
