It is a very nice hotel decorated very tastefully. Also has an excellent sea view. The only issue we had was the room was a bit musty and mildewy smelling probably because it is on the coast and the ventilation isn't very good. They were also very nice to let use check in at 10 AM.
Roomed in the master bedroom with an ocean view for four nights. The room was enormous for two people! Washroom is freshly renovated and the breakfast served every morning was satisfying. You'll need to rent a car to get around. The closest town is two minutes away by car with a grocery being five minutes away.
We wanted a quiet retreat for a short stay on Pico island. The shuttle from and to the airport helped us make the choice, as the hotel was on the edge of town, on the hillside overlooking the coast and Sao Roque harbour. Conditions were very quiet, essentially out of season, but we were very well treated by friendly staff.
An exemplary experience. This family run B&B is immaculate and the helpfulness of the owners and staff is fantastic. I could not recommend this place more highly.
We had a very nice stay at Casa Do Comendador. The house is beautifully restored. The room was lovely and modern. The beds were very hard but that seems to be the style in the Azores. The location of the house is not very convenient if you do not have a car. You have to drive to get meals and for activities. The breakfast that was included was really terrific. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. We were able to use the wifi and they have a computer for guest use. Overall a great stay.

Eating fasilities
The room was a little dump, wonder that maybe we were rhe first visitors after wintertime. In the first night the bed feel dump and cold. The breakfast was okei. The commodation was far a way from anu restaurants or so. Could it be possible have information about nearest restaurants, snack bars and so on. There are not so many places to eat in Pico and the accommodation only have the br eakfast.
Also it has to be said in advotising that guest have to have a car to get in there and to anywhere from there. Luckily we have rented a car, which we normally don' t have.
Is it possible to have a grill in the garden or something?

Excellente adresse, on recommande.
Godt hotel.
