Had a difficult time understanding the desk clerk; spoke English but talked to fast to understand. The hotel appeared to be a "work in progress". The carpet in the hall and stairways was new as was the flooring in the room. However, all needed a good sweeping/vacuuming. Beds were ok, TV was new with sticker still on it. Bathroom in need of an update. Breakfast was the standard "continental" with items I normally choose. Had teabags but no hot water. The outer door appeared not to lock as could open without key.

After three attempts made by the front desk to give us working key cards to get into our room. All failed. These staff member had to use their master key to let us into our room. The cleaning staff left long black hair in the toilet and around it.. The walls are paper thin… and left very little to the imagination of anything that was happening in rooms around you. For the price you just have to hope to not get bedbugs and have a safe warm place to sleep beyond that you’re not getting much of anything.

This place is filthy. There was black mold in the shower. Brown spots on the walls. The hallway smelled of cigarette smoke. This could make people very sick; especially immune compromised people

The flooring was upgraded and that was on the cleaner side. Appreciated that there was not nasty carpet. Breakfast was okay for those without any allergies. Should have called ahead and asked for a room not by the lobby since we were arriving at midnight. The heater was on and off all night and noisy. When it wasn't on, could hear people talking. Beer can on the top of the bathroom door, finger nail clippers in bathroom, hair (not ours) in the bed, old standards for the bedding and didn't seem super clean. Checked in late and with an injury had to walk far in the snow with no offer for help on opening doors or anything. Train track is close by.

Decent hotel that we were able to have 5 in our room very comfortably! Only downside was we needed to ask for more towels; even though we had specified we would have 5 people in our room, there were only 3 towels when we checked in.

when I arrived they told me they didn’t have any rooms. We had 3 rooms booked. They never called any of us. We were told we could sleep in a staff room for one night and then had to leave

I needed to cancel because my room had a leak in the ceiling in the bathroom. Front desk clerk showed me the room and said it would get cleaned (my room was the only single room available at that point). There was dirt/mud on the floor in the room from the leak and he tried to tell me it would only be a few minutes. He seemed shocked I wouldn’t want to stay there.

It felt like the mattress was very newly brought in. Very comfortable room. I had a good sleep. A fairly good selection of restaurants close by and I felt the neighbourhood was very safe.

The floors were dirty, and the safety lock on the door was broke off. When we went to breakfast there wasn't much left to eat. We have stayed there before, and everything was fine, but with the new owners things have changed, and will not stay there again.

So disappointed with Days Inn in Pierre, South Dakota. This place was so disgusting and dirty. There is a horrific smell throughout the hotel as well as in the rooms!! The room had shelves that the screws were ripped out of the walls and barely hanging by the ends of the screws. Only had two towels, no hand towels or wash clothes. The towels were just thrown on the other broken shelf in the bathroom. The bathroom and tub were not cleaned. The toilet had pee and stains all over the seat and under the seat. There was huge chunks in the bathtub with stains in the tub and all over the shower curtain. The floor was not swept. The carpet in the hallway has not been cleaned or vacuumed there was used towels up and down the hallways on the floor along with pieces of food. Breakfast was limited to apple or biscuits. We have stayed at this establishment for over 24 years but now the current owners have completely destroyed this place and we will never stay here again!!

Room 315 was a complete disaster. The bathroom fan did not work, so bathroom was moldy and rusty. Someone had previously trashed the place. Clearly, everything had been torn from the walls (tv, towel racks, mirrors, toilet, etc) and put back up without repairing the damage. It was the worst place I’ve ever stayed.

Well to start with we didn't get any bath towels and when we asked for them staff delivered bath mats? We couldn't understand the staff. There was a huge pile of trash outside the door. None of the exterior doors locked when closed. Hallways were dirty with construction equipment piled up by the side door. The TV remote didn't work. Bathroom door didn't close. No kleenex in the room and when asked, staff told us there wasn't any. The continental breakfast was very week, we got there an hour before it ended and everything was gone, even the coffee! Ask staff if they could make more and the staff person behind the front desk rolled his eyes at me. I would not recommend this stop to any one. This was a disgrace to the Days Inn chain!!!!

I did not have a washcloth (except the dirty one under the bed) or hand towel. There was dirt & a used Q-tip on the floor. There was a lot of soap scum in the tub which made the shower very slippery. Not a pleasant experience.

Rooms were partially updated, laminate flooring, new beds. A/C worked well but loud which is ok as it drowned out the neighbors. Bathroom is old and rusted, towels stained and floor was absolutely filthy! Our feet were black from walking on it, ugh!!! Area of town doesnt give me safe vibes and one guest decided to smoke up in the doorway going outside, so the whole building smelled like weed.
