When I called the property the staff member was not very friendly and just said "Hello" almost acted like I was bothering her. The bathroom sink had hair from the previous clients in it. The hotel was dated but beds were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good and the employee was keeping things clean and full. The room had iron and ironing boards which I used as we were there for a funeral. Either the iron or the board cover had something on it as it got on my pants, so I had to buy new ones. I showed the staff and they said they were sorry. It's still on my pants like something light colored melted into the fabric and I can't get it out. Hopefully they removed the iron and/or board cover in room 108.

This is a two story property with no elevator to the second floor. One of the two lamps in the room did. It work, I reported it and I did the repair upon return to the hotel. The toilet was approximately 12” from the ground. There were no grab bars to get out of the shower or get off the toilet. There was a crack in the tub. The lady on duty gave us no information concerning when and where breakfast was served.

sorry you stay didnt go as plannedi will check the toilet but i know them are not 12in highwere you in a disability room?we do not have grap bars except disability rooms

Very dirty. "Breakfast" very minimal. Fan in bathroom very noisy. Needs serious updating and attention. Will stay elsewhere next time.

Would have loved to give this motel a good review but it is in such a state of disrepair that I can not. The shower rod was pulled from the wall… the bathroom fan was so loud you would think you were in a hurricane … the breakfast food was awful … the towels were stained …. I would not recommend Governor’s Inn at all. Won’t stay there again.

The manager was very nice but the hotel was dirty. Urine on the bathroom wall. Floor in the room was dirty. Beds were clean and comfortable. Waffle batter appeared watered down

Great place to stay!
The employees are always cheerful and welcoming! The mattresses are a little uncomfortable, but the rooms are nice and clean. My favorite place to stay in Pierre!

We had a nice 2 night stay. Everything was as expected. Quiet room that had all we needed. Also was a good breakfast with several choices. Very good biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, waffles if you wanted. A great stay for us.

The staff members were very helpful and friendly. The soap dispenser in tub/shower was empty. There was a soiled washcloth (lipstick) folded with the towels. The air in our room smelled odd... unidentifiable but stinky. Did not notice odor outside of our room so possibly from earlier guest.

The pool and hot tub were impressive -- nicest we've seen on this trip so far. The breakfast was also very good. And the bear skin rug in the lobby was a hoot. My only complaint is that their internet was (1) not secure and (2) too faint to be usable. It worked from the breakfast area but not from our room. We actually got somewhat usable WiFi from the McDonalds next door (also not secure and not very strong).
