Beautiful views

This cabin is so cute and intimate it’s perfect for a couple! Not super far from pigeon Forge about a 25 min drive. Loved the pool table and loft area. Only issues was the lady bugs which seemed to keep multiplying over night. They are harmless and beautiful I am simply terrified of insects (what are you doing in the mountains? I know.) so I’m probably being biased. Can’t wait to stay again.

Pros: beautiful cabin loved the fire place
Cons: sewer
Location: drivin into the town for shoppin walkin and eatin
had a clogged toilet call the number on2/3/2018 and 2/4/2018 we couldn't take shower the toilet would run over we had to clean up with towels and outside our cabin we got a real bad smell like rotten eggs that meant a bad gas leak somewhere close

The mixup

I was emailed the wrong cabin and when I arrived at 1am, I found an entire family in the cabin. (Things could have went so wrong, I could have been killed) the numbers for the main office went straight to voicemail. We emailed no answer. No one is available after hours. We eventually called the police and they were able to contact someone from the property. The moved us to a new cabin 30 mins away (thankfully the police escorted us, did I mention we had no service?!) The cabin was outdated and full of Lady bugs. The hot tub worked. The resolution for the mixup was to offer two tickets to a country show and ice cream. ( these absolutely did not interest us, but the clerk suggested that was the best she could do until Monday. We didn’t get any contact until Wednesday by email. Stating they feel the tickets given was enough. They also stated an email was sent with the correct cabin number. Those mixups should have been verbal discussed and confirmed. This was unsatisfactory. We will never book them again. Expedia hasn’t done anything in regards to the situation either.

Again, we apologize for the confusion regarding your cabin. However, although the incorrect directions were sent to you by one of our staff members, the accurate information was sent within 1 minute of the mistake. We also have subsequent email correspondences from you that are time stamped after the corrected email was sent to you. The fact that you arrived at the wrong cabin was pure human error, and we did our best to rectify the situation by providing you with the correct information and also offered you the additional ticket as an apology. The police were contacted because you refused to leave the cabin that the other guests were clearly already staying. You accepted the additional tickets which we understood as an acceptance of our apology. We have also discussed the situation with the staff member involved and explained to them the importance of not just providing the guest with the correct information but also making a call to insure that the guest is keeping track of the updated information. Due to the nature of the issue and the additional ticket you were offered, we will not be able to offer any additional compensation beyond that. Again, we apologize for the confusion.

Nice Getaway!

Perfect weekend getaway! We had a one bedroom cabin and loved everything about it. Super cozy with lots of nice touches. Very clean and quiet. Great location, only a few miles from restaurants and attractions. We are already planning our next visit with friends and family.

Showed up late, went straight to our cabin, got in no problem, and we're blown away with how nice the place was.

Lovely cabin in the woods not real close to other cabins. Beautiful view.

Do NOT rent from them!

Do NOT rent from them! Our first cabin (Snow Bear) had bed bugs and was filthy. My husband works for a pest company so he knows what to look for. We spent 2 hours getting moved to another place. The new place did not have the amenities we wanted at the cabin. And was way further out of town. It had a hot tub that didn't work. I had to call 4 times to get someone out there to look at it and they claimed it was working fine. The jets wouldn't even come on and the water was too cold to get in it. Our romantic getaway was a big headache. After going through multiple people on staff and calling over and over the only thing they would do was refund us the hot tub cleaning fee. What a joke! Save your money!

We are sorry that you had any issues during your stay. We take such claims extremely serious and immediately sent out a professional pest control service to evaluate the cabin and address any possible insect issues. We also provided you with alternative accommodations based on our limited availability. We understand your disappointment with not having access to the cabin that you originally chose. We do not have cookie cutter cabins that are exactly the same. Each cabin and chalet is privately owned therefore each cabin is a unique experience. The owners choose their décor and amenities based on their personal preferences. You should also know that the cleanest cabin or 5 star hotel room can have insects brought into a cabin by guests. Cleanliness has nothing to do with how such insects enter a cabin. They are travelers, just like fleas or ticks, which are brought in by an individual or a pet. When any unforeseen issues or maintenance concerns arise we will always move quickly to address them as soon as possible. We are sorry that the hot tub took a while to heat up. Hot tubs are filled with fresh water so unfortunately it can take a while to heat and the cover must be kept on it to retain the heat. We are sorry that you did not fully enjoy your last trip to the Smoky Mountains. We will continue to strive to provide all of our guests with a great vacation experience and know that given the chance your next visit can be one that you truly enjoy.
