We had had a long day,and we were hungry. Per reviews, we were looking forward to not having to leave the hotel to eat once we arrived. To our surprise, there was only the desk clerk at the hotel. No food. Two blocks away were tiny restaurants, and a Pizzeria. The room was nice, the bed was very comfortable. The hotel has an "old world charm" and we were more that satisfied with the room itself. The next morning, there was only the girl at reception in the hotel. Our bread basket was already on the table when we walked into the breakfast area. She brought juice and coffee, and left. There was no offering of anything else to eat. Nor did she return during the meal to ask if we needed anything more. Before we finished, the kitchen was buzzing with preparations for lunch, the tables being prepared, and we really wished we could stay because the menu looked very inviting. However, we wondered why someone could not have shown up a little earlier to the kitchen to offer something to eat besides bread, butter and jelly. Our recommendation is that you call ahead to see if their restaurant will be open before you get there.

Only hotel in Pimentel??

Posted Apr 14, 2015
Pros: Nothing I can think of.
Cons: Everything
Location: Pimentel out of season does not have much going for it.
Hotel does not look as advertised. It is well past its best. The outside is now blue and white and very grubby. There was no one on reception when we arrived and we had to ask someone from the kitchen, which is bizarrely at the front of the hotel. The room was enormous as was the bathroom but felt very jaded and uncared for. The sheets did not feel clean, though they were so we're probably just very old. One cockroach didn't help! We stayed out of season but there was no food served at the hotel in the evening, nor anywhere else in town save for one pollo a brasa.
