100% Empfehlenswert

Posted Feb 1, 2016

Lovely staff.

The staff were so welcoming and friendly from the minute we arrived. Knowledgable about the area and recommended some lovely places to eat. La Boca being my favourite for pasta and the seafood looked amazing. We had a couple of prosecco at the hotel bar in the evening and the staff were attentive and friendly. Can't recommend it enough

Close to airport and in the centre

Posted Jan 18, 2016
Pros: Close to airport, central and inexpensive for a 4*
Cons: Separation of the bar from the breakfast room
Location: A lot of shoping just a street away and plenty of restaurants to choose from. The Arno is 5 mins away for an evening walk along the river.
Just 10 mins by taxi from the airport and very central; just a street away from main shops and restaurants. The hotel is comfortable and central with a staffed desk 24/7. Breakfast was good.

Comunque consigliato!

Excellent hotel with easy access to everything.

Posted Nov 16, 2015
Pros: The staff above all, but also the location.
Cons: Nothing that we experienced.
Location: Perfectly situated for access by foot to the historic city and to the stazione, and by shuttle or cab to the airport.
We stayed for two nights, at the front and back ends of our ten day visit to various sites in Tuscany. The hotel provided easy access to the Pisa airport, and has a shuttle service for a reasonable fee. The Via Mazzini where the hotel is located runs roughly parallel to the Corso Italia, the main shopping street in the city, and so its location is perfect both for shopping and gaining access to the city's chief historical sites across the river, but at the same time is quiet and largely removed from heavy foot traffic. Both our nights at the Bologna were excellent in all respects. The desk staff proved friendly, thoughtful, and informative; and provided excellent recommendations for evening meals at nearby local osterie. The rooms on both occasions were spacious, certainly by European standards, as were the baths. The space was immaculate; the rooms quiet; the bedding very comfortable. There was a full complementary breakfast.
