This was a last minute stay. The hotel wasn’t bad. Our room was clean, bed was comfortable. They have a small store to purchase snacks, etc. The front desk staff when we checked in was great. The front desk staff when we checked out was too busy talking about personal matters to allow me to ask a question. The breakfast options were great, again…the staff? Not so much.

Standard property near a Walmart and Belk, great place to stay if you are visiting for a short time. Very clean, staff was nice but not overly helpful- we had some rain the first night and noticed the roof over the hallway was leaking, but they placed a trashcan under the leak.

It was clean. The breakfast was good. I feel bad for them it seemed to be busy when we checked in and there was one woman training another woman. Seemed like she has to do it all herself. But they were super nice.

Great hotel in the heart of the Waterfall country!
Clean, comfortable hotel in a great location to get to several area waterfalls. The breakfast is good with many choices, and the staff very friendly. The hotel is not far from the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway, 15 miles, and the road to the parkway is just beautiful with the tress making a canopy over the road!!

I was ready to give this hotel top rating until they failed to clean room. My wife and I left at 9:00 am and returned at 2:45 pm to find the room still uncleaned.

The place is clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and helpful. The morning coffee is fantastic. The beds were comfy. I slept like a baby. The hotel is close to everything, especially Pisgah and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

The Inn and facilities are, in a sense, somewhat dated but that is the appeal of the place-- to me a good thing. I am not interested in anything like a modern spa that appeals to the self-indulgent. The grounds are attractive as is the lake.

Extremely Disappointed
We have always counted on any Hampton Inn to be super clean. We had our 2 small dogs with us this trip so we paid an additional amount to have them in the room. I was extremely disappointed that the room smelled horrible and had tons of dog hair that was visible especially in corners. But that wasn’t the worst of it. Upon entering the bathroom there was visible urine on the commode seat. I was shocked. We did not complain as we were exhausted and had the dogs. The front desk staff was awesome upon checkin and maybe our room could’ve been changed but it was easier to clean the necessary areas and just stay in that room. Do those people with dogs get downgraded rooms even though they are charged extra? I just felt like for $250 we should’ve had a much nicer and cleaner room!!!

We were not aware at the time of booking that this was a pet friendly hotel, both of us having asthma and sleeping with C-Pap, we had a difficult night. The room smelled of animals and pet hair was on the bedding and the carpet. The staff was friendly However.

Helpful staff, excellent breakfast, room was very clean and comfy. Close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, which was the reason we went to the area. Would definitely stay there again. My only concern was the noise that the central air made when it came on, but certainly not a deal breaker.
