We have been to Hotel Chitchen Itza before. It is a great hotel. All the amenities you need in the heart of the Yucatan. It has never disappointed our Yucatan experience.

Nice grounds on a large plot. It just lacks transportation options. Only reasonable taxis work. If you can find one.

Très bel endroit offrant des chambres très propres et très confortables. Le personnel de la réception (Emilio) et au restaurant (Ray) est dévoué et très attentionné. Le cadre est magnifique et la piscine superbe. Nous avons diné au restaurant et avons apprécié autant la cuisine que le service attentionné et professionnel. Endroit à recommander à quelques minutes du site de Chichen Itza.

You can listen to the sound of the forest while seating in a rocking chair in a long and beautiful corridor facing a magnificent pool. You going to love the sound of many birds and admired the many green trees around the property.

This was an excellent choice for our trip to the Yucatan peninsula. It’s conveniently located and easy to get to, staff was very good. Our booking included breakfast, which was very good. We stayed 3 nights and breakfast was one of my favorite things. It’s very close to chi Chen Itza.

The hotel grounds are nice and the location is fantastic for visiting Chichén Itzá (5 min drive). The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The food in the hotel is amazing and was some of the best we ate in our week in Mexico.

Good place
The hotel is very conveniently located for those wanting to visit Chichen Itza early morning. The staff is very friendly and breakfast spread is great. We had a good time.

Clean and relaxing stay
We had a wonderful one-night stay at this hotel. We got 2 rooms for our family of four. The place was clean and the beds were comfortable. The rooms could use more light and it took about 10 minutes (or perhaps a bit longer) of the showers running before the water got hot. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant, which was pretty good. And their breakfast was good as well. It’s very close to Chichen Itza and is close to an OXXO (a chain convenient store). All in all it was a nice stay.

Good value
This is a nice place but needs to make a few changes. We stayed at this property for two nights. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to your needs. However, the quality of the mattress is much to desire, like sleeping on the top of a rock. The bed is nicely made and the room is very clean. Rooms need more outlets to accommodate plugging coffee pots. Food is high quality and kitchen staff take pride in their work.

Good things - location to Chichen Itza entrance is 1km away, aircon very effective, breakfast was good and lovely bread, nice pool Room for improvement - During our stay Wi-Fi was only available in lobby bar, hot water very sporadic so hot showers not guaranteed More general comment, not hotel related, is that there is nothing else in Piste. If we were visiting Chichen Itza again we would stay in Vallodid or Merida.

Arrived to find Chichén Itza CLOSED! Due to a local strike by Mayan merchants blocking the entrance to the ruins. Staff very willing to accommodate but reservations were made by third party and they couldn’t really help. But the staff was very nice and helpful.

Wonderful stay
This is a meticulously maintained older hotel with impeccable service. The staff consistently delivered at a better level than I expected: i often wondered if they trained in a high end hotel before. While the facility is a bit older, everyone was impeccably dressed, courteous and perfectly trained and informed. The food was delicious, and served very fast. Everything was kept very clean with attention to detail, employees cooking food wore masks and hand sanitizer dispensers were present and filled in key locations. This is a great central location to work from to go to many of the sites in central Yucatán. A minor note: my room was not very sound proof: a lot of outside noise came in - including some pretty sounding but very loud nightbirds. It’s on the street so expect some background noise. This normally would be a problem for me but, the rest of the experience more than made up for it. I would go back in a second.

This hotel was incredibly clean and the staff was very friendly and courteous. This hotel is in a very small town which worried us a bit because we know what small town hotels are like where we live. This was nothing like the small town hotels we're used to. This property including the restaurant blew us away. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
