Excellent spa hotel in beautiful location
Beautiful spa hotel set in immaculate grounds. Team were friendly and accommodating. Very good restaurant and bar. The only negative was about the non spa pool which was not officially opened and in full service.

Cute boutique hotel in a sleepy little town. Perfect to get away. Had a very nice stay and the thermal spa is amazing and so was their regular spa. But I’m a very picky and bougie person so: The food could’ve been better and it’s not as lux as you’d think for $800 a night. Overall though, amazing stay and the staff was very friendly !

Adorable place to visit
I loved the location. The hotel is on a beautiful gated property. The main building is adorable. The spa entrance room is very elegant. The cave is beautiful. The pool complex os fantastic. The only thing I noticed was some massage therapy rooms very dated and looking not well taken care of. At my room they didn’t have the proper flip flops as they promised on the check in so we have to wear our owns, which were not really appropriate to walk inside the grotto. People very gentle at the font desk but rude at the restaurant.

Beautiful hotel the pictures don’t do it justice. Everything about it was fabulous. Gorgeous room and bathroom plus we had a lovely terrace. The outdoor pool had comfy sunbeds with cushions. Pool bar and restaurant was good as was the hotel restaurant. The thermal spa was excellent and the massages we had were very professional. We loved this hotel.

The location is nice, service is good, the only thing I found a bit slow was the wait at the restaurant that always takes long to bring out food. Aside from that a great experience and we will be back again. The staff was amazing with our dog.

The hotel was lovely. We paid for s superior room which was nice however our view was very disappointing. Lots of wardrobe space and a nice marble bathroom. You need to hire a car to explore as it’s not near anything in walking distance. The breakfast was very average, just the basics. No little extras like nuts or seeds. Take insect repellent. Nobody round the small pool area for service and had to walk in the heat to the inside bar to buy water. There is a large outdoor thermal pool at the far side of the hotel which we realised was a public pool. This was lovely but gets extremely busy at the weekends with locals. The Grotta (cave) was a nice experience but I felt a little claustrophobic at first

We had an amazing stay and would definitely come back again. The hotel has a ton of spa treatment and a great pool. The breakfast and bar were great! The bed and room were quite nice as well.

My husband and I come to Italy every year and with me being pregnant this time we decided to try something different and spend a few days at a spa which led to our stay at Grotta Giusti. First let me say that everyone who works here is very nice including the restaurant and management - our first room smelled like smoke and they were able to accommodate us to a better room without the smell which I very much appreciated. Unfortunately that’s where the pros stop. Cons: 1) the Grotta thermal is supposed to be the highlight but was beyond disappointing. With me being pregnant and the heat of the Grotta i was only going to be able to walk through it / stay in it for about ten minutes and honestly thank god because what a complete let down. You literally just go into a cave and sit there with strangers. That’s all there is to it - I can’t believe people spend 40 euro a day to visit. 2) the thermal pools - luckily there are two, one for hotel guests and one for non guests so you aren’t with as large of a crowd but with the water being lukewarm it just felt dirty and again how long can you just sit in there so it’s fine for a short time but will not occupy your day 3) the spa - SOOOO disappointing as we figured with their awards etc they would have real professionals which they did not. They didn’t know how to do a prenatal massage so for me was a complete waste and for my husband he said his was just as bad and the woman didn’t know what she was doing at all whatsoever

A Unique Grotto with Excellent Pools
The pools, grotto and spa are the attractions here. If you intend to spend much time in your room you will probaby be disappointed. They are very small and dated. The bed was small and hard. The downstairs common areas were attractive and comfortable. The included breakfast was above average. The setting is nice and staff were attentive. Dinner at the hotel was expensive and mediocre in my opinion. Ask for Fabio for airport pickup and delivery. One of the real highlights of our entire trip was his recommendation to go to Daciacomo il Maialetto in the adjacent little town of Monsummo Terme for dinner. Located in an old butcher shop it had the absolute best Bistecca Florentine of anywhere in Florence and at half the price. We were the only non-Italians there. Do have the hotel make you a reservation. Overall we very much enjoyed our experience at Grotto Giusti and we would definitely return

nice but not super nice
overall it is a good place, however, the hotel has several flaws. the old part of the hotel is beautiful, and the room decor is also very elegant. the bathrooms are all marble, but as you see in the pictures they are not very clean, both the shower/tub and toilet itself have encrustations. the overall setting is nice and historic, but the modern additions have completely ruined it. breakfast is good, not great, but good. the thermal pool is open to the public, so it gets very busy. the hours of operation are complicated and differ between each other. the hot steam/sauna natural grotto is nice but again it is open to the public, you have to make reservations to get in, and it costs additional money. so there is no real spa available. so overall it is not bad but definitely what you're expecting from description.

lovely Hotel for all your Spa needs
Grotta Giusti is a lovely hotel me and my wife had our "mini moon" here before our main honeymoon. the staff was very helpful even went to the trouble of complimentary champagne, chocolates and an extra 20% off spa treatments as we just got married. the a la carte menu was a bit pricey but for the service you receive and the quality of the food served its worth it i think the wine and champagne selection is phenomenal. but if all that is not your thing a short walk into the local town there is a lovely restuarant called Sotto Grottthe spa had every treatment imaginable even a nasal mucus irrigation if thats your thing. overall a great stay

Best Hydrotherapy
This place was fantastic. The hydro pools were the best with dozens of different hydrotherapy options. The bar was great and the bartender was a really nice guy that helped us with recommendations in town. SKIP the restaurant for dinner-- while convenient, it was not a good value. You are better off paying for a cab to take you into town and eating there for a better meal at half the price. Of the 4 hotels we stayed in in Italy, this was the only on that had an adequate air conditioning unit. You have to ask the front desk to allow you to lower the setting below 22celcius, but it worked great.

We stayed at the hotel for three days and really enjoyed it. It's perfect if you want switch off and get away from the hustle of every day life. The staff is wonderful and helpfull, the food is delicious. We loved the pools and the cave. We would definitely come back.

Fabulous Spa Hotel
My Husband and I spent the first week of our honeymoon here as a base to explore Tuscany and we were not disappointed. Spa is extensive, offering many treatments and therapies; outdoor thermal pools were unrivalled - they have a pool just for overnight guests which was so powerful it truly had a relaxing effect (we even had it to ourselves on their late night swim session!). Thermal Grotta was a bonus too and we had one free everyday. Breakfast was more than decent offering scrambled eggs and bacon along with the continental style breakfast. The surrounding area was completely non-touristic - which we loved - but means you do need a car to get about. Montacatini Alto was so beautiful and 100% worth a visit. We managed to explore Pisa, and Florence too as both less than 1hr drive. Overall, this hotel was exceptionally clean, comfortable and provided good service in all areas, and had a wonderfuly relaxed atmosphere with everyone wearing their robes to breakfast and lunch. Do not book if you want to be within walking distance of shops, restaurants and nightlife.
