Staff is always nice

Posted May 8, 2017
Pros: I like the room set up and furniture. I don't need much except to sleep and shower.
Cons: Just the attitude of the front desk guy. Every other person that works there is always super sweet, attentive and they seem like genuinely nice people
Location: Lots of great places to eat.
When I say the staff is always nice, I mean everyone except one person. I figure that everyone can have a bad day, so I gave him a pass the last time I interacted with him. However, I got the same negative reaction this time so I am putting it in my review. I have worked in customer service for many years and therefore I am very sensitive to crappy social interaction. There is an older man who works at the front desk in the morning. He had his head down looking at a computer or some paperwork when I approached and did not bother to look up for more than 10 seconds even though I was directly in front of him and he knew I was there. He seemed irritated that I asked (very nicely and with all the pleasantry that he DID NOT exhibit) for the WiFi password. Close your eyes and count to 10 in actual seconds. It's a long time when all someone has to do is look up, smile, and indicate that they'll be right with you. A guest should not feel like they are "bothering" someone at the front desk. This guy is just joyless. My guess is the rest of the staff is aware that he is like that but they can't do anything about it. If I were the manager, I would not have him employed there. He doesn't do the basic please and thank you basics when interacting with guests. That's not something you can teach if someone chooses to be a curmudgeon. It's just bad for a business. Oh, well, he'll probably be there the next time I stay there.

Convenient

Posted Apr 27, 2017
Cheap and close to the airport. Breakfast is all carbs, no protein. Pastries seemed dry and 2 days old. Had to ask for soap and shampoo 2nd day. Perhaps just an oversight by housekeeping staff. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable.

good airport location

Posted Mar 15, 2017
Pros: location and condition of room
We wanted a low cost night's stay before an early flight. This location worked well for us. The room was clean and pleasant and the shuttle to the airport was perfect for our needs.

The rooms looked nothing like the picture and I felt like it was false advertisement and would never book at that hotel again

Cheap hotel close to the airport.

Posted Feb 11, 2017
Pros: Cost
Cons: Hair dryers
Location: Airport
I wasn't told by the office staff that there was an elevator. It wasn't until I dragged myself, my heavy suitcase and 2 other bags up a flight of steps and collapsed at the top that I was found by an employee and told about the elevator. No hair dryer.

Spartan breakfast.

Room was fine - clean, comfortable. Meagre continental breakfast. Eggo waffles, bread, tiny muffins, mini danish, cereal, watered down "juice", coffee. Crowded eating area, tables unclean.

Budget inn near airport. My first room I couldn't access the room due to the lock being broken - second room was fine but smelled of smoke.
