Excellent site, wonderful staff, spacious rooms. Two minor complaints. 1. One of the housekeeping staff on the 3rd floor talked way too loud, slammed doors and seemed unaware that she disturbed the guests she served. 2. Room ran cold whether set on AC or heat. Just a minor service needed in room.

Very bicyclist friendly. Bike lanes available on the street. Close to train station.

Marriott Courtyard is a great place for me to stay. Staff are friendly, efficient and helpful. Hotel is very well-maintained; rooms always look recently redecorated. Rooms are not huge but very well appointed with good lighting, plenty of outlets and comfortable furnishings. The lobby also has comfortable seating plus outlets and computers. Location in downtown Pgh is excellent, with theatre district and a number of small art galleries in easy walking distance. Restaurants at various star levels are plentiful. The Sonoma (attached to the hotel) has been upgraded over the years and has an interesting menu. I also recommend going to "The Strip" for a great local experience in shopping (food and local memorabilia) and restaurants. The Warhol museum and Lemieux Sports Complex also aren't far. Bus service from downtown Pgh. to universities, etc. is very good. I've stayed at this hotel 3 or 4 times over the past years, always having an excellent experience!
