Terrible staff.

Posted Mar 24, 2017
Drunk guy in the lobby from the time we arrived-midnight. Front desk associates were condoning his behavior apparently because I asked what his deal was and they just laughed. Next morning half the breakfast items were available, half the utensils were available as well. When upon requesting utensils we were given a huge attitude about it and never received utensils. Also associates were so loud socializing amongst each other that no one could carry on a conversation in breakfast area. I heard many complaints amongst other guests.

Pros: Room size

Hotel is very nice. Hyde Steak house across the street is over priced. Close to Both stadiums and the Casino.

EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED!

Posted Mar 11, 2017
Pros: Location. Nice Staff. Great Room. Noon checkout time. 24 hour room service. Good parking.
Cons: In my experience, nothing! Everything was great.
Location: Stage AE in walking distance was the main thing for me. Good eating nearby. Nice scenery. Nice for my son's first trip to Pittsburgh.
I booked thru Expedia. I had booked another hotel whose website said you had to be 18 to check in. I got the room for my son and his buddy that were attending a concert at Stage AE. When I called the other hotel to confirm the reservation, they told me that you had to be 21 to check in! I cancelled and immediately looked for another hotel-I only had a day to look. I called the Hyatt. The gentleman that took my call was EXTREMELY helpful. He not only verified the 18 year old check in age, but he told me exactly how far Stage AE was and was really comforting to me since this was my son's first trip out of state without me. They loved the room and the fact that room service was 24 hours.

If you need internet, consider another hotel

Posted Feb 24, 2017
Pros: Decent north side location, but not exactly easy to get to or if you are walking, to access downtown venues
Cons: Internet connection and reliability.
Location: Sports stadiums and sports themed restaurants
For the $$ the hotel is nice enough, but no one really seemed to care that I couldn't connect to the internet. I paid for an associate to stay there and he too couldn't get online. I did manage to connect with my phone, but it didn't operate as it should...Other than an apology and telling me that I could contact their ISP customer service they didn't do anything to help. I paid for the room in advance on Expedia so I had to eat a night's stay so I could transfer to a hotel with working service and a staff that really cared that I was a hotel guest. I would avoid this hotel...With approximately 3000 new hotel rooms in Pittsburg market in the past couple of years there are plenty of hotels to choose from.

Great location

Pros: Convenience
New hotel between PNC park and Heinz field. Easy walk to both. No need to drive- tons of bars and restaurants right there. Big path on river to walk or jog with bike rental right there.

Amazing service!

Posted Feb 13, 2017
Pros: Staff, location, cleanliness
Location: Right on the river...tons of restaurants and bars nearby..great views. Right next to Heinz Field, PNC and Stage AE...
Extremely welcoming staff. Jay and Ray at the front desk / lounge area raise the bar for customer service expectations. They were friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. Rooms clean and comfortable. Location was great with tons of things to do. many restaurants/ bars all within walking distance. Will stay here from now on when visiting Pittsburgh. A+++++

Nice hotel. Horrible staff.

Posted Feb 13, 2017
Paying for parking was extra, even though that wasn't explained to me. Staff did not have a clue about good local restaurants. Woken up in our room at 3 am because of a party at the hotel that we weren't sure if were removed from premises. Had to unclog our own toilet with a hand wrapped in a plastic bag as they didn't have a maintenance person and couldn't find a plunger to bring us so they told us to just use the ones downstairs and we were on the 3rd floor Also, my boyfriend's mother who was with us has breathing problems which I explained to the staff But I got the same response that we could just go down stairs I will not ever book with Hyatt place hotels again. Ever.

Good location, uncomfortable stay

Posted Feb 12, 2017
The staff was unfriendly, the bed was uncomfortable, and we were put in the room across from the elevator, so we heard everyone in the hallway. The heater was very loud, and was in need of service. I got no sleep, and the staff did not show any concern for the issues we had. I would never stay here again.
