Not that it matters, as hotel is closing 9/14/16..

1st room was filthy. Carpet had not been vacuumed, there were sunflower seeds scattered throughout the room, as well as other debris. Towels were dingy amd smelly, and the tub did not appear clean either.
There was a thick layer of dust on most surfaces. The bed linens did not look "fresh" - in fact the bed looked slept in. The hotel attendant (nice gentleman) moved us to another room that was only 70%better, cleaner, but still not great.
I later found out that the reason all these problems existed was because the hotel was slated to close in a week to be converted to a nursing home. This explained the issues and why services were limited or non existent - the advertised hotel bar - closed, the snack shop - closed, vending machines - none. If we wanted water, we needed to go to the Target at the bottom of the hill. Housekeeping failed to make up the room the next day, which meant no refreshed towels (not a big deal), but running out of TP? Come on.
Worst stay at a La Quinta ever and I usually consider them above average. Had I known about the impending closure ahead of time, I would not have elected to stay.
