Pros: The View
Cons: Everything, Their customer service was terrible, the room was not maintained.
Location: 5 minutes from Downtown Pittsburgh which is why we came to go to a Pittsburgh Steelers game. Took a day trip to Niagara Falls
Arrived at hotel around dinner checked in, brought all our luggage in and then went out for dinner. When we got back we started to unpack. We were setting up my wifes CPAP machine and had no power to it by the bed. She than ran the cord stretched out to another outlet with a cracked cover. along the wall that was adjoining to the bathroom. While she was setting up her machine I had unpacked the luggage into the drawers and went to sit down at the desk to pull out our computer and noticed that the chair was peeling. My wife then went in to use the bathroom and there was no power in the bathroom. I then called down to the front desk and asked what could be done and asked to speak to a manage. The Lady on the phone asked if it was a blown fuse. I said I didn't know she was rude. She seemed to not care and it was no big deal. We told her that we were going to find a different hotel and she didn't seem to care. Finally she said well I can see if we have a different room. I said I would want to look at it first. I had my wife start packing our things before she had even offered a different room because I was unsatisfied with her response to out power being out in the bathroom. I did go check out the other room and we did stay but never did get a call from the manager while we were there for our 2 days.

Not that it matters, as hotel is closing 9/14/16..

1st room was filthy. Carpet had not been vacuumed, there were sunflower seeds scattered throughout the room, as well as other debris. Towels were dingy amd smelly, and the tub did not appear clean either. There was a thick layer of dust on most surfaces. The bed linens did not look "fresh" - in fact the bed looked slept in. The hotel attendant (nice gentleman) moved us to another room that was only 70%better, cleaner, but still not great. I later found out that the reason all these problems existed was because the hotel was slated to close in a week to be converted to a nursing home. This explained the issues and why services were limited or non existent - the advertised hotel bar - closed, the snack shop - closed, vending machines - none. If we wanted water, we needed to go to the Target at the bottom of the hill. Housekeeping failed to make up the room the next day, which meant no refreshed towels (not a big deal), but running out of TP? Come on. Worst stay at a La Quinta ever and I usually consider them above average. Had I known about the impending closure ahead of time, I would not have elected to stay.

Convenient location

Posted Aug 30, 2016
Pros: The bed was comfortable although my wife had much difficulty climbing up to get on it.Afootstool of eight to ten inches wouldhave been helpful.
Cons: Lower beds, at least one chair, overhead lighting in entrance way controlled via a switch near the door.Maintain the pool.
Location: Location was very convienent to areas we needed to visis.
Room had a very poor lighting scheme ..two single bulb lamps... no overhead fixtures nor lighting at/near room entrance. No chairs anywhere.Beds were too high off the floor so as not to be sat on. The entrance from the street was not identified; it was "hunt/guess through one of two shopping centers. The only clue was the building was visible. The desk had no information about local churches nor church services. When asked to provide a chair for the room we were told that the duty person did not know where they were kept.Ergo no chair was furnished per our request.

Dirty, no pool or bar

Posted Aug 29, 2016
Pros: No
Cons: Everthing
My sister told me this was a nice place to stay, boy was she wrong. We had to move 3 times until we found a bed that was comfortable and a drain in the tub that would drain. I have a back problem and a pool to do my exercises is very important to me, it was closed. My daughter was disappointed their was no bar it had closed. The breakfast was ok but who serves powdered scrambled eggs it was not edible. They needed housekeeping in the breakfast area to at least whipe th counter. I will Never stay at a Laquita again, stay clear of this one!

This hotel was obviously having a hard time keeping up with housekeeping and minor maintenance while we were there.

Good place to stay for reasonable price. Room could use more lighting.

Hotel maid service was terrible. Items left in fridge from prior guests. No shampoo stocked. No maid service after our first night's stay; due to insufficient staff. No items stocked in the hotel vending / snack room.

We stay for 2 nights. The room and lobby areas are quite dirty, outdated. Carpet are not clean. The worst thing is there is no housekeeping and cleaning service to our room at all! This is not unacceptable!

Pros: It was close to everywhere that we needed to be.
Cons: Wi fi
Location: Close to downtown Pittsburg. Only a 10 minute ride.
It was a nice clean hotel. the only negative was that the wi fi wasn't working very well.
