I took this photo while looking down into the stairwell..I couldn't help but think of seashells and what they look like when cut in half while admiring the beauty in the architectural design of this historic building. #Architecture Often we go through difficult times in our lives, this is my time. I will come through. I wanted to post this photo because it brings me joy. I will always look for a new day and brighter future. Wish all the wonderful people on Trover the best. I will return. Thank You. Say what you will but this world is full of strange and beautiful creatures. The Cathedral of Learning is a stunning sight to see. It has been coined Some creatures in this world I can't describe. They can only be seen. Conflict Kitchen is a take out restaurant that features food only from countries that the US is in conflict with. The idea is to bring about awareness to the country featured and the people in the country as well as being able to have great food. Currently, the country featured is Iraq. Cuba and Venezuela have been featured in the past. On the menu are items such as rosewater pudding, chicken with pomegranate. Ohh yea the tall one was definitely full of mischief. Bicycle Heaven is a great museum, donation based, for anyone that has an interest in unusual museums. This picture shows Pee Wee Herman's actual bike from the movie. There are 2 levels to the museum( which is also a bike shop, bike repair shop and bike rental). For those biking, it is closely located near the River Trails. Just such a beautiful creature! Watched this Penguin for quite a few minutes. It's seemed to know a secret it wasn't sharing. But it was a bit of a show off. Like I said, this bird was full of mischief. Coming close to me and splashing a little water. Wildlife you gotta love it! Beautiful Pittsburgh from Grandview. 💜 If ever in Pittsburgh give this place a try, I think you might enjoy it. Oh now you folks know me, can't be away from my fine feathered friends. I saw this pretty looking building made out of glass and I had to take a photo. At that time, I didn't know its name. #roadtrip #architecture #pittsburgh #america I want to state that I am always conflicted about seeing these beautiful animals not in their natural habitats. As a person that simply loves to be outdoors. Whether in the woods or along a small River in Ohio. I want to believe that they are well cared for and help a younger generation appreciate all the wonderful wildlife in this world. And there are so many great organizations that help rehabilitate injured animals and release them back to their natural habitat. I also believe all the people I met at the National Aviary truly cared for and indeed loved these creatures. I hope one day humans will realize all life is precious and should be nurtured. But sometimes I worry. The Holi Day Festival that takes place in March at Schenley Field and supports CRY, is an event you don't want to miss. I have tried to come up with something clever to say about this large and small bird, but I haven't been able to. Let's just say I find them to be beautiful. Such a beautiful sight in the middle of winter ❄️ The Hot Metal Bridge is one of Pittsburgh's most distinct bridges--and considering there are over 300 of them in the city, that's saying a lot. Technically speaking, it consists of two different bridges, one being the aforementioned, and the other the Been a while since I took a stroll through Pittsburgh. But took the time to cross a few bridges, and be close to the river. Sign says this is the Andy Warhol Bridge. Had a great weekend in Pittsburgh for Easter visiting friends. You pay by the hour and the staff gets you quickly from paperwork into your Kayak in no time. Kayaking under the bridges while enjoying the beauty of Pittsburgh is a great way to enjoy the city. Fort Pitt Bridge is a steel, double decker bowstring arch bridge. It spans the Monongahela River near the confluence of the the Allegheny Rive. This bridge has the distinction of being the world's first computer designed bowstring arch bridge... Impressed ?
The bridge is also infamous for its difficult lane changes and I can personally attest to this... especially the lower level where you have to jump two lanes in about 300 feet. Horn... Accelerator !

The event runs from Saturday early evening all the way through early Sunday evening. Inside this warehouse art comes alive in the form(s) of live music, displayed art, artists at work, dance and so much more. You can even put in a bid for pieces of work you would like to take home for your very own. For those budding artists, you can submit 1 piece of art to the event... for free. Pittsburgh is an awesome place to visit! So much to do and so much culture to see. Everything from Primanti Brothers to your local church's homemade pierogies...there's a meal for everyone's palate as well. This picture was taken down at Station Square. What you see in front to the left is one of the hammer forges left over from a steel mill; which is what Pittsburgh is most noted for. #BvsCities #Pittsburgh #Pennsylvania This picture is special to me for a few reasons. First and foremost, it's the city I grew up in. Pittsburgh has been my hometown for 26 years now.
There's also a pretty cool story behind this. It was my first Pittsburgh meet up and it was through Brendan van Son!

Beautiful park. Saint Paul Cathedral is the motherchurch of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. St. Paul's parish was established in 1834.When the diocese was established in 1843 St. Paul's Church was chosen as the cathedral. As the first time downtown area was claimed by industries the residential areas shifted to other areas of the city. St. Paul's property was sold to the industrialist Henry Clay Frick.
