It was ok. The room was clean when you first got there. I was there 3 days the only interaction with any maid was when I went and got towels. Then when I was walking out they asked me if I needed anything I said towels they set the towels on the desk and left. No cleaning or anything. Beds weren't made or anything.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Posted Aug 8, 2015
FILTHY, Toenail clippings behind nightstand, mold in closet. They moved us to a different room and just as Filthy. We couldn't get another place bc we couldn't get our money back to pay for one.

OK for the price

The room was adequate. The Staff could use a little work, a bit rude / apathetic. I would stay there again for the price .

Ok if offered at a much lower price

Posted Aug 5, 2015
Check in took 30 min. due to faulty key card machine. Room was not clean, dirty towel hanging in the bathroom and the light over the bathroom sink was burned out (took two days to get it replaced). TV was really old. Garbage littered all around facility and garbage was piled outside the room next go us. If we hadn't arrived very late we would have demanded our money back and gone elsewhere. On a good note, they did credit us 15% of our room fees back, but we did have to ask for the credit, they did not offer.

Shabby but ok for a one night stay

Posted Aug 1, 2015
The rooms definitely need updating but if you are staying in the Pittsburgh for an overnight stay only and need something cheap, this hotel will do.

Close to the city.

The hotel was a bit outdated. The rooms were spacious and had a lot of potential to be great. The hotel grounds were decently maintained, but again could benefit from some updating. The area was decently quiet and our stay was sufficient for the short time we were in the city. The hotel was priced a little high considering the current state of the hotel and amenities offered.

Pros: quiet
Cons: needs updating / 1970's / 80's amenities

motel was close to our destination of PNC Park, front desk attendant gave us directions that kept us out of traffic and right into where we needed to be

Very disappointing

Posted Jul 18, 2015
Pros: The staff was nice.
Cons: Attention to cleanliness and customer satisfaction.
We traveled from Texas to Pittsburgh on family vacation and loved the city, hated this hotel. Not once in our stay did they clean our room, or give us fresh towels. The beds were uncomfortable and the room smell was musty. Totally disappointing.

Not as nice as a Homeless Shelter

Posted Jul 14, 2015
Pros: The breakfast was very good.
Cons: The housekeeper who supervises should be instructed to supervise.
Location: Pittsburgh is a lovely city. The botanical garden is amazing. Center city holds lots of opportunity for exploring and there are great restaurants.
We asked for a renovated room and the desk clerk told us none of the rooms were renovated. The grounds were in bad shape. Sidewalks on a tilt. Weeds. The room had not been cleaned. There were at least 10 moths at various places. There was a brown streak on the curtain? The furniture was ridiculous. Torn and swayback. This was a suite, with refrigerator and stove but no dishes or pans. There was dishwashing detergent. There was also food in the vegetable drawer - couldn't tell how old it was. There was food splattering on the walls around the stove. No surfaces had been cleaned. There were enough towels for 1 day. We had to get more from the front desk. The cleaning staff left us a note to tell us they had vacuumed the next day. We stayed 5 nights - why, I don't know. There was no service after that 1 visit by housekeeping. The shower was fairly new. The water was hot. The breakfast was the highlight. It was well stocked and someone was there to help and clean. Warning - do not stay here.
