Steph is friendly. Check in and check out where a breeze. Having the bar/restaurant right there is so very convenient.

From the Front Desk staff to the eclectic charm of the room & hotel in general, our stay was wonderful!! We cannot recommend the hotel high enough for anyone coming to the Berkshires! Centrally located for day trips and a welcome site to come back to; I know we for sure will be back in the not too distant future!

Hotel on North was a safe and clean place for a night away in the Berkshires.

Really wanted to stay at this hotel. Seemed like a good story of a boutique hotel in a struggling downtown. The rooms are noisy due to the location in the downtown and the old construction...all of that was understandable and acceptable. Staff seemed to care less about satisfaction. Not overly friendly and made no effort to see about whether you needed anything. Request of need to check out a couple hours late was met with yes, for an hourly fee. Never had that happen in decades of staying at hotels. The room was only "cleaned" every other day which meant new towels and making the bed...no more. Game room was filthy and falling a part. And, the adding restaurant staff, with the exception of one bartender, was equally rude/complacent to customer satisfaction. All in all the atmosphere of the place was very disappointing. Unfortunate, as I need to be in the Pittsfield area for 4-6 days per month for the next year or so and will be staying elsewhere where treatment of guests is better.

Very nice design, lots of light, a great mix of old charm and modern amenities, parking available, coffee and books too, very comfortable rooms, lots of echo-friendly touches. I will definitely stay there again!
