Not a 4 star hotel

Posted Oct 15, 2017
Pros: Staff friendly and very helpful.
Cons: Breakfast was very poor, internet slow, bed not comfortable.
Location: Very limited restaurant selection in the immediate area, the "grill" across the avenue should be avoided.
I don't know why this hotel is billed as 4 star. It's just a clean, basic, 2-3 star hotel, with very nice helpful staff. Breakfast was disgusting. Color scheme (white and hospital greenish teal) may not be to everyone's taste, all hard plasticky and tile surfaces, not comfy. Very thin mattress like something from a hostel. Poor internet. Non-smoking floor reeked of cigarettes - when I asked to be moved to a non-smoking room, the receptionist was genuinely surprised and concerned, moved me immediately with apologies. Room and public spaces very clean. In the morning there was a transport strike across Brussels, and the morning receptionist was able to call a taxi promptly to get me to the airport.

That is a joke to call it as 4 stars hotel.

So, that is a desapointment. It is just for one day, so that is not so bad. The reception has 2 qualities. The man from Congo is amazing, happy and helpfull. The woman from Spain, she would like to be in another location, she is very unpleasant. They do not take the reception phone at all when you call form the room. Call that as a 4 star hotel is a joke. That is 2 stars so far. The breakfast is terrible. For vegan pepple then, nothing, and they still dare to charge 25 Euro for a breadfast that worths less than 3 Euro. The wifi was not working on my mobile, and there is no computer available or any chance to print your board pass, or do a check in on line there. The location is good, close the city centre. So, I do not recommend it at all. Look for something more expensive and have a great stay on another location. But, the room was so noisy that we can not relax properly in the morning, and when you close the window door, that is so hot in. It is not good for kids also. I just liket there the receptionist from Congo, that work on morning time, nothing else. Good lucky.

It was ok but pricey

The hotel is actually two hotels. One is old and small and the other one is older and smaller. There is nothing wrong with the service or the staff but the building itself and the interior simply don't justify a price in the 100+ Euro range per night.

Great experience

Very close to the heart of Brussels, scenic views, great breakfast selection and very close to the train station. Would definitely recommend to anyone I come across!!

It is a nice, clean hotel but it could certainly use a refurbishment. It feels as if it was stuck in the 1980s. The staff are very friendly. The wi-fi works great in the first building (closer to the corner). The 2nd building/entrance had some major issues.

About as much atmosphere as a cardboard box

Posted Nov 2, 2016
Pros: The staff were more colourful than the rooms
Cons: A more honest rating of this establishment would be the best option
Location: It is close to the Metro
While located close to transport and clean enough, this hotel is as bland as staying in a cardboard box. The breakfast was awful and the room facilities cheap and nasty. The decor is at best depressing, in my view. Le Dome does not deserve a four star rating.

The location is great but I didn't have access to Internet during my stay. The Wifi was terrible. I had to go to the lobby of another hotel to be able to receive my emails. The only positive thing about this hotel was that the staff were nice and helpful,

Fine for a two star

Posted May 3, 2016
Pros: It was not dirty.
Cons: almost everything
Location: Location is good.
My main problem with this hotel was that it was sold and marketed as a four star, but it had a 12 inch TV, no gym, very old decor and was just generally out of date. Completely lacked renovation for the last 30 years and was overall disappointing. Fine for a two star - fraudulent and misrepresenting at four stars.
