Nice rooms, but older hotel that needs maintenance

Our daughter lives in Placerville, so this is the most convenient hotel. However, it is quite close to the freeway, and most of the rooms can have a lot of traffic noise. Also, no elevator. Maintenance is poor. The security outside door never shut, so not locked. Long time to get hot water. Had to run the tap for almost 5 minutes before it became lukewarm. Drain in second sink was extremely slow. However, the rooms are nice size, the beds comfortable, good wi-fi. Went a few years ago to breakfast, but it was mainly carbs in cellophane, so have not even gone down the last few stays.

L.E, I am sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay. We have made many improvements to try to upgrade our breakfast, and only even have 1 item that is pre-wrapped. I think you may enjoy it better now. I am sorry to hear about the maintenance issues you experienced. We are constantly trying to improve our standards to meet expectations such as your own. We do have a current plan in the works to install an elevator as well, so that should be installed in the near future. We hope to improve ourselves to meet your standards by your next stay. Decent Hotel For The Location

This hotel was, frankly, OK. The location is good right off the freeway, close to downtown and the casino. The beds were very cheap and flimsy. A basic room, nothing fancy. There was a "deodorant" smell in the hallways I didn't care for.

The room was a lot bigger then we expected. It was very clean. Everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations.

Great place near the Sierras

Pros: Location, clean, friendly staff
Needed a place to stay near the Sierras after our prior lodging in Pollock Pines lost power. Staff was able to accomodate us quickly and even find us a different room with carpet so our infant could crawl around. Thanks!

Very nice hotel really clean wonderful rooms

My stay at the best Western was the greatest it was storming when I was there we had the fireplace going and music on the big screen TV it was so comfortable.the whole hotel is a wonderful place to stay we plan on staying up there twice a month even if we are not going to play at the casino ...

Nice hotel

Nice hotel great location ..The reason why I did not rate them 5 stars is because our rooms heater did not work it was below 40 degrees outside and set our heater to 68 degrees and it did not shut off at all our room was a sauna..Called front desk and they changed our room ...second room samething only difference was that we set to 68 and room was not as hot the button on heater to select fan on auyo was inop...so frustrating so we just slepted with a fan on all night...other then that the hotel is pleasant.

Ok for one night

Ok for one night. Just a pit stop, not a destination. Beds were hard, rooms was clean enough but you could hear people above walking around at 5 am sounding like they already had their ski boots on.

Pillow talk

We were disappointed only by the pillows. I think that if there were a variety to use the end user would find the "just right one". The pillows were all the same and too high to sleep on.
