Convenient and affordable

Posted Aug 5, 2017
Pros: Proximity to acropolis
Cons: Rooms need renovations
The room was showing its age. It was clean but looked dirty in places due to old curtains for instance. The proximity to the acropolis and the price for the one night we spent there was a plus. No elevator. I would spend a bit more next time but get a better place.

Plaka hotel

Posted Jun 20, 2017 on Hotels
The hotel is located in the Plaka district a short walk from Syntagma square. The hotel is older but has been renovated, room was small and there is no elevator. The roof top garden is small but nice and you have a view of the Acropolis. The staff was friendly and helpful. The area is central in the tourist district of Athens close to Monastiraki square and the shopping area along Adrianou. Good for 1 or 2 nights. There are no amenities at the hotel.

Kimon OK for short stay

Posted Jun 9, 2017 on Hotels
Considering the price and location ( Plaka district ), it is bearable for a short stay. Economy room is small but comfortable. Bathroom is very small - no place to put all your bath items, but shower is larger than most. Good to have a safe and fridge. Was disappointed they discontinued the breakfast that was available ( for an extra cost ) on the 3rd floor balcony, but there are many cafe options nearby.

Nice clean stay in great location

Posted May 19, 2017
Location minutes walk from almost anything - lovely big balcony overlooking bustling street. Clean rooms, great water pressure (showers are tiny but to be expected), very comfy beds with temperpedic pillows. It is noisy as it is right on the street. Staff is super nice and accommodating. Mini fridge....great value

Quaint hotel with awesome location

Posted May 15, 2017
Pros: Gorgeous room
Location: In between the Plaka and Monastiraki
We stayed during the week of May 8th. Excellent location between the Plaka and Monastiraki. Short walk to the Acropolis. Beautiful big room, with a great shower. Beautiful top floor sitting area with a gorgeous view of the Acropolis.

Pros: Great, comfortable mattress and pillows. Friendly staff. Great location.
There is a cute but somewhat dangerous winding staircase. If you need to carry your suitcase or if you have a small child, you need to be careful.

Great location but small

It was small but then again it was cheap. Staff were friendly, helpful. It was quiet except for the cathedral bells. Just a very small room and the door to our courtyard couldn't be opened!

Front desk staff was horrible

Very rude staff, your not allowed guests in your room (My family coming up to see the room for 10 minutes)
