Very Large House 150 meters from the beach and shops

"Casa Del Sol was the perfect base for our holiday in L'Escala. It's well equipped - plenty of crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils for even large groups. There were 2 large outdoor dining areas (and a large indoor dining area), eight loungers and both gas and charcoal barbecues. Whilst the decor is traditional, the furniture and appliances were comfortable and all in good working order.It's location was stand out - within a couple of minutes walk of a large Spar supermarket, and excellent pizza takeaways, and within 5 minutes walk of the main beach front at L'Escala and restaurants along it. It's unusual to have a villa in such a central location.We had very good communication throughout with Didier and Marion who welcomed us to the property and provided lots of information about the local facilities. L'Escala itself is a lovely resort with a very large beach with a large choice of restaurants and bars on its front. There's also an old town and charming coves slightly further up the coast with small beaches close to the Roman and Greek remains of l'Empuries. These are all accessible from the tourist 'train' that stops just outside the villa, although the timetable did prove to be a little unreliable for us. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Casa Del Sol."

"The swimming pools area and beach are just perfect. I was disappointed with the basic level of the kids club. Although the staff were lovely I missed more activities for English speakers. With a lot of Dutch people (speaking very well English) it would be just right to do cinema for kids in English. Also, the activities at the pool were the same every day. Missing on some disco for kids. Overall we had a great time and massive thanks go to Soraya for including our daughter in the kids club activities."

"We had a great stay as a stay as a family of ten people. It was a great location, you can walk to many restaurants and the beach. The views were spot on. The pool was lovely and the rooms were great. The air conditioning worked well and there were lots of en-suite bathrooms. They did communicate that it would be an extra cost if we used the 6th bedroom with only ten of us. We also felt that for the price, they could have included pool towels for free. There were some plumbing issues when we first arrived (strong smells) but the host sent a plumber quickly to fix it. Overall, we had an excellent stay."

"Simce we got there we were received with a smile by Allan. The room was cozy, the place is very close to the beach.. Breakfast was included very good and great coffee. The place is near pretty much everything. I will recommend all ny love ones and you to check it out. Awesome area for families."
