No water on NYE for hours...

Posted Jan 2, 2018
Worst 5* I have stayed in. NO WATER on NYE !!! Then after waiting hours all brown water come through the taps. Then the bathroom flooded waited a hour for someone to come and fix it ... great new years and to top it of the €25 buffet they wanted to charge €180 for NYE and was told all 6 restaurants was fully booked anyway..shut the bar we was in at 11pm on NYE ha ! . no one at reception knew what was going on no apologies. Emailed/rang and asked at reception to speak to the manager but they said he is not here and no reply to emails. would rate the services at reception 2stars, it definitely isn't a 5 star hotel. They put my father that was on crutches in a room that was a 10 minute walk to reception. Took 2 hours to change his room when we let them know previous he couldn't walk very far.. No iron, beach towels have to pay deposit and daily fee for a towel, have to pay for the gym and Heated pool. On a Plus side the restaurants are very nice and well decorated and also the bars. Great swimming pool. A hotel for family's

Dear JAde, thank you for your feedback and for giving us the opportunity to give you our appologies. It was an external problem of the hotel and fortunatelly we know that is an isolated case of one day, not representing the hotel standards at all. We hope you can understand it and as we already said, we are sorry for the inconveniences.

Good hotel, bland food

Posted Nov 19, 2017
Pros: General appearance
Cons: Quality of food in Chinese and American steakhouse restaurants
Nice hotel with some great facilities, unfortunately let down by some really bland tasting food, especially in two of their three signature restaurants.

Let down by cleanliness

Posted Nov 5, 2017
Pros: The restaurant choices, the breakfast and reception staff in particular.
Cons: Cleanliness, especially in the rooms
Location: Location is awesome, pretty much step onto the beach from our room.
Hotel location is absolutely fantastic, right on the shores in Playa Blanca. The choices of restaurants within the complex is very good, cannot comment on. Parking was difficult as the car park is small. We struggled to get a space and parked at the back of the hotel - no probs, except we were blocked in by delivery lorries on our return to the car. No real issue & quickly sorted. We were only visiting overnight so didn't get a good chance to explore the facilities at lengths. Chose to sit around the main saltwater pool and arrived mid-morning but unfortunately there were already signs of litter. Perhaps other pools were better? Our room was nicely furnished and large with its own balcony but hairs on the floor everywhere were really off putting. As we walked through to breakfast at 8am the following morning, it became apparent that despite clear signage forbidding lounger reservation with towels, the majority of the clientele couldn't read! This is inexcusable & could be easily sorted by the hotel, especially as a deposit of 10 Euro is required to have a hotel towel. Start collecting these unattended towels up and you'll soon find out who the culprits are! Breakfast offered a superb choice and the staff were outstanding. Reception staff too were very helpful. Bar staff in the main bar could have been a little less grumpy but they did their job I guess.

Excellent Resort Hotel

Posted Oct 31, 2017
Cons: At busy times, maybe have a member of reception staff only dealing with quick queries, eg towel swap, tennis racquets, etc.
As a family of 4, we booked a Junior Suite on All Inclusive basis, and arrived to find 'extras' included that we hadn't expected. We had a few initial teething problems with our room, but the receptionist apologised and contacted the relevant people instantly. So they were dealt with swiftly and without question. All the staff were friendly and helpful, and they all worked very hard to ensure our stay was as we would wish and also to keep the whole hotel and grounds clean and very pleasant. The grounds are so big that it was easy to find an area and pool that suited us. The facilities were fantastic, as was the food and drink (waistlines suffered) and we found that we didn't need to leave the hotel. Our only 'trips out' were to Timanfaya National Park and to meet a friend in Playa Blanca. It was also nice to walk along the esplanade outside the hotel. It was our younger son's first time abroad and we all thoroughly enjoyed our time here and didn't want to leave. We have never stayed in a resort hotel before, but we really hope to return next year. Thank you.

Beautiful hotel

Posted Oct 22, 2017 on Hotels
This is a beautiful hotel. It is so spread out it never feels crowded. The buffet breakfast was outstanding as was the buffet lunch. The bar area with its evening singer was very good and relaxing. Great hotel but it’s location is remote. Getting taxis was difficult but there is a bus that runs outside which is great.

A mixed review

Posted Oct 13, 2017 on Hotels
We Stayed for 11 nights on October 1st, the room was disappointing but was told that that section we were in was getting renovated the rest of the hotel was nice although at breakfast there should be a tea station same as the coffee one the waiters kept bringing single pots of tea which is a waste of their time as they are very busy clearing tables as well hotel very clean and pool area very nice

Dear Martin, thank you for your comments, we take it into account in order to improve. Indeed, we are really glad to announce that we heard to our customers and a Nespresso coffee machine has been added into the buffet breakfast as an alternative for the table service. Best regards and we hope to welcome you soon!

A nice place for a week in the sun

Posted Oct 12, 2017
Booked for a week, all inclusive, I bought my bike which was no problem to keep in the room as we had one of the older, larger, rooms. I imagine it would not be allowed in one of the newer rooms. Food pretty good but not many vegan options. Branded drinks all good quality. All in all very good value

More of a Motel complex than a Hotel.

Posted Oct 12, 2017
Pros: Food, Swimming pools and staff.
Cons: Sandy beach needs building outside.
Location: Very little in walking distance.
Advertised as a 5 star hotel, more like a 4 or 3 star motel. The main building is great, large lobby 5 restaurants, games room, theatre cocktail bar and library. But the living area is a number of blocks of flats set across a huge fenced in complex that has several swimming pools, sports bar, café, shops and play area. Its so big they take you to your flat in a golf buggy. Sadly I lowered the star rating because of on going building work. Jack hammers removing tiles, skips full of rubbish which you walk past to go for your meals in the main building. No Beach, yes it has a locked gate that gets you to the seaside but its all jagged rocks no good for swimming. Other areas have built private sandy beaches but not here. Staff are nice despite language barrier and entertainment is acceptable. Food is good. Big disappointment the Sports Bar was closed when the Grand Prix was on TV so we left the complex to view elsewhere. Problems where looked at 24hours after being reported. Patio door lock broken which I noticed when reading the sign saying We recommend you lock the door overnight. I jammed a chair against it until they fixed it 24 hours later. Long bus ride from Airport we checked out at 0245 to make the first flight out at 0715.
