Cons: They need more staff, they are not enough for the people staying there. Rooms need improvment, no dresser and only 2 plugs in rooms.
Great location, great food and service, but they are not enough for all the guest. They only allow you 3 dinners at specilaity restaurants even with a 6 days stay. Rooms needs improvement like more plugs and dresser . Pools are beautiful, ground with swams, peacocks and more animals. Don't gorger mosquito spray!!!

Pros: The hotel was very clean as well as the staff . Staff made you feel at home.
Cons: what the resort should improve is the theater, need more ceiling fans, very hot and humid .
Just came back yesterday from a 6 days 5 night stay. Booked for family reunion party of 15 .What can I say it was awesome the resort is very clean , hard working staff and very friendly, food was good as well as the nightly entertainment. I highly recommend this resort. P.S NO TAINTED DRINKS. Drinks were good. Must try the Riviera Maya drink.

Noche hotel far to the beach. It's so big

Nice hotel, too many mosquitoes. The hotel is very large and the distances to walk too.

Beach was beautiful and the property was stunning

Very hot. Open air concept is great, but not for the month of August. Too hot. Buffet was bland and needed more flavor.

Trip with adult children

Pros: We liked the manner in which we were treated by staff. They were very pleasant and attentive. The pool was huge and seemed to have lots of activity.
Cons: Getting reservations for specialty restaurants needs to be easier. Eating at the buffet for most of the meals gets a little monotonous.
Location: The location was easy to get to by use of shuttle service. Was not a bad ride from the airport.
Everything went smoothly for our vacation. From the time we arrived to checking out, we had no major issues. We arrived and checked in with ease and did not have to wait long to be taken to our rooms. Our rooms were ready and cleaned within a reasonable time each day. The beach was absolutely beautiful and the pool was well kept and fun! The bartenders at the swim up bar were phenomenal! All staff members were friendly and personable. Getting reservations for the specialty restaurants was near impossible. There were 4 in our party and we only received one reservation for our 6 day, 5 night stay. All other meals were either at the buffet or the taco stand at the mall. The taco stand was definitely one of our best meals. Delicious. Resort food was as expected, average. We did not go there for the food, but for the beauty of the country. We fell in love with the people at the resort and we were not ready to leave.

Pros: The Bell Staff and the workout area if it was cooled better.
Cons: Friendliness and accommodations by the front staff.
Location: 30 minute commute to Play del Carmen is OK.
We stayed with 3 families, all adults. When we booked with Expedia we booked one standard room and one ocean front King sized bed. We upgraded the second room when we arrived. When we were taken to our King ocean front we were taken to an "ocean front" room with two full sized beds. When we called the front desk we were told that when you book with Expedia you only get the location and you are not guaranteed a King bed, etc. We were told there were no more King beds and we would have to accept the two full beds. I was persistent and they finally found us a king bed "ocean front". Beware, due to the foliage there is a limited view of the beach. We were also told that due to the fact that we booked with Expedia we were only allowed to book 3 reservations for dinner even though we had 5 rooms for the 3 families. Its pretty easy to get tired of the buffets. The staff in the work out area are nice and the equipment is good. Unfortunately there is not sufficient air conditioning so it gets very hot. The grounds and the building are kept as clean as possible by the staff. The thermostats in the rooms can only be adjusted by staff. Ours was set very high and it was hot. We finally got someone to come to the room to turn it down two nights before we left. The pools are beautiful but the water in the one pool near the bar was very warm.....i will leave that to your interpretations. The walk to different locations can be long in the heat.

In addition to this, we have different options for our guests to try besides our buffet restaurants, such as, star rock café, taco shop at the shopping center, the hamburger shop, late night snack bar, cold snacks and thematic nights at the buffet for dinner where all our guests can enjoy different options every night. Beautiful resort with amazing service

Was there for 6 days and everyone treated us like they knew us for days. The buffet food gets old quick so make sure you take advantage of the specialty restaurants for dinner.

Iberostar Family Vacation

We had a wonderful stay at the Iberostar Paraiso Beach resort. The grounds are beautiful and lush and filled with interesting wildlife, including peacocks, swans, flamingos, and coatis. The lobby and restaurants are open and large so they never seemed crowded. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, with plenty of pillows, linens, and towels. We had only 2 people per room, but they could have accommodated up to 4 comfortably. The service by all the staff was friendly, courteous, and competent. We had only one problem, which involved a mix-up on a dinner reservation, but that was very minor. Despite the size of the resort, it was a reasonably short walk to either the restaurants or the beach. Meals were conveniently served both in the main building and neat the pool/beach areas, which was nice. Although the beach was quite nice and included an ample number of chairs and cabanas, the pool was the nicest I have ever seen and offered a variety of areas from active to quiet. The size, depth, and temperature were all perfect. In spite of the fact the resort was full, we never had a problem finding covered chairs near the pool. The food was varied and of excellent quality, although after a few days a certain level of boredom sets in even with good food. There were plenty of fruits and vegetables to go along with the excellent entrees and desserts. The distance from the airport is modest (30 minutes). My only criticism might be that some of the drinks seemed weak.

Great hotel, amazing staff

We just got back from a 9 night stay at Iberostar Paraiso Beach and would highly recommend this resort! A group of 8 friends stayed and they all agreed that we would stay thee again! The food was amazing and the staff was very fun, polite and accommodating. The food was very good, we ate mostly at the buffet but those who booked at the a la cartes all enjoyed their meals as well. The only drawback might be that there were quite a few rocky areas in the ocean for swimming, some of them that you didn't notice till you stepped on them but once we knew to look for them it was easier. There was lots of animals and birds everywhere as well which were fun to watch. One of our friends actually had a peacock sitting on eggs on their balcony flower beds. Overall, the resort was great value for the money and I can't say enough about how great the staff were.
