Great All Inclusive

Had a great time. Rooms were nice (nothing special), but everything else was great. Every place to eat was excellent. Drinks at all bars were very good. They didn't skimp on alcohol. Pools and pool bars were excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. We will return someday soon

Nice hotel, amenities great

Had a great week, hotel very nice, staff was great and entertaining. Was there with a group of twenty, we all had a great time. Only complaint was we could only make three dinner reservations while we were there for seven nights.

wonderful vacation

Our room was upgraded when we checked in. We were close to both the pool and the beach. Everyone we encountered was very polite. We will definitely be back next year! All transportation was easy to find. My only complaint is that they could have had more carts. When we waited at the stops it's was over 5 min and no one drove past, so we ended up walking a lot. Not bad for us, but could be for others.

Resort is Beautiful

Pros: Beautiful pools and the staff was so nice and the the activities were great
Cons: Better quality food It seemed like we ate almost the same food everyday. Quality of meat was not good Brazillian rest. should serve better meats.
Location: swam with the Dolphins
Great beach We could only book at 2 restaurants and the rest were buffets. Resort was beautiful and clean. Staff was very nice. Great family enviornment Food was ok

Enjoy the natural spaces

Cons: Could have wider variety of cooked vegetables.
Location: Tours for the underground rivers and the archaeology are worthwhile.
We enjoyed seeing 6 coati including babies in the lawn on our way to breakfast. Also peacocks and macaw. We liked the very good fitness center where we worked out every day for an hour. The beach and surf were good. The room was spacious and we opened the balcony at night for the cool breeze as we slept. Food at the buffets was plentiful and we had many excellent fish dishes. We enjoy walking and there was quite a lot of walking at the resort to the beach, the buffet, the fitness center and the pool and the rooms all in a pleasing landscape.

It's just OK unless something goes wrong!

Pros: Beach is great, rooms are clean...that's about it.
Cons: Management. Stop playing with "concierges" and "PR people"...Better concentrate on a food, entertainment and SAFETY!!!
Food-not much of a variety (especially at lunch), taste is a hit or miss...Service.don't get me wrong: 90% of the staff is friendly and really trying to be helpful...but except the front desk, some waiting staff and (what they call concierges) almost nobody speaks English.Zillion people in the uniform milling around without doing anything. Sometimes you ask for a drink and it's much faster to go to the bar and get it yourself...Entertainment: same old same old...if I'm in Mexico I'd rather enjoy local shows (such as Viva Mexico) but not the endless amateurish renditions of Cats or Lion King...Wi-fi: free...but incredibly slow and connection drops constantly. My main complaint (and an advice): don't get sick there!!! My wife had a misfortune of stepping on a stingray...She was transported to the resort medical office (because all those life guards on a beach didn't have a clue...and nobody spoke English!). You would think the resort medic person (in a crisp uniform with the bunch of medical logos on it) would know how to perform at least an initial treatment of a poisoning..?.Wrong! My poor wife was crying in pain and he spent 45 minutes filling the paperwork instead of helping at least with the hot water or vinegar (google it!). Another 50 minutes in the ambulance to the hospital in Cancun (apparently there is nothing closer equipped to treat such a common thing!!!) and finally they did something useful. Is it such an unusual trauma over there? No. So...be very very careful!

A Great Vacation and a Terrific Resort

Pros: Everything!!!
Cons: Can not think of anything. We had a great time and all of our needs were meet.
Location: Stayed on the property with the exception of one trip to Mayakoba to play golf there. Everything you need is right there on the property.
Just got back from vacation and wish we were still there. Can not say enough good things about Iberostar and the resort and the staff is incredible. Got a great deal on a last minute booking and we were not disappointed. Room was nice and clean each day and well stocked. Plenty to do on the resort property and the golf was great. Big Break Mexico was on the course on the property. Food was very good every where we ate and especially at the Rock Cafe. Can not say enough for the friendliness of the staff and them taking care of all your needs. If you are going to the Playa del Carmen area be sure to stay here.

Nice place I would definitely go again

Most of the staff was very friendly with the exception of a few in the specialty restaurants. Some of the restaurants could be managed a little bit better the wait staff was slow and not very attentive to your needs
