Overwhelmed

The reservation for restaurant was not accurate staff was not pleasant even when I had a reservation they denied it and twice I had to eat at the buffet when they had a bunch of tables open , really!!!American burgers and hot dogs I come from America I don't need to eat that in Mexico , please have some steaks at the buffet for dinner Other than that facility is great, but is just a lot of people all at once, i upgraded to a bigger junior suit for 80 dollars a night the person told me that there would be hammock but instead there was just 2 chairs I follow iberostar and I really like the company, just this time it wasn't all that

Enjoyed our time at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo!

We enjoyed our stay at the Lindo! The ala carte restaurants were very good with the exception of the Brazilian Steakhouse. Choose another... food was horrible!

Beautiful Hotel!!! But not a tasty Buffet...

In general we were happy with the hotel and staff. All the food at the buffet had a great presentation but was not very tasty either all the cocktails we tried at the restaurant or pool bar.

Excellent place to stay!

Pros: Everything!
From check in to check out we had an amazing time! Grounds are beautiful with lots of wildlife. Beach is great although waves were a bit choppy and lots of seaweed but thats nature! All the staff were outstanding and worked so hard to keep the hotel and grounds clean and well maintained and everyone entertained and happy. Food was great and making reservations for the a la carte restaurants was easy. Starfriends do a fantastic job to keep you entertained and as busy as you want to be. There are so many activities to choose from during the day and evening or you can choose to do nothing but relax! There is even a shopping center in the complex! Can not wait to go back again!

One of the WORST All Inclusives We Visited

Over the years we have stayed at many all inclusive resorts, all across Riviera Maya and other Caribbean islands, and this chain or set of resorts is one of the worst ones. As usual, the food is generally bad, however this hotel has it even worse. The selection of buffet items is very limited, everything tasted very bland (not a surprise for a resort buffet) and the worst part, over multiple times our family members would get a mild degree of food poisoning, mainly from all sea food dishes, in particular their "ceviches" and "sushi", DO NOT EAT! Rooms were outdated, with various degree of ceiling stains and mold in the bathrooms. Just like all Mexican resorts this one has major plumbing issues, basically has the bathroom smell like a sewer all through our stay, making showering and general bathroom usage very unpleasant. On several occasions the pool area reeked of sewer smell as well, with pool water smelling very questionable. In one of the pools we found some human child feces floating. The room was dusty in the hard to reach areas, all lamps and curtains. Ceiling fan was rusted and made a constant squeaking sound. Air conditioner never worked properly, and was very loud. Pool areas are overcrowded and always lacked seating. Beach was full of sea weed. A very disappointing stay considering this hotel somehow has a 4.4 star rating, completely inaccurate. WOULD RECOMMEND STAYING ELSEWHERE!!!

We just returned from the Lindo and loved it! The entertainment staff and Kids Club were outstanding! The resort is very clean, the food was great, and the pools were awesome! The shopping center with tacos, ice cream, and coffee shop were the best! If I had to complain about something it'd be the uncomfortable beds/pillows. Other than those minor things, our vacation was perfect at the Iberostar Lindo!

Wonderful getaway

Loved this resort....was my birthday and staff made it a very special expierence. Champagne, fruit and balloons. Staff was efficient, room close to beach and pool. Great location and great trip. Will go back

Great family friendly all inclusive resort

Pros: Cleanliness, cleaning staff gets A++, in general friendly staff. The grounds, animal, overall uncrowded feel. The pool, loved the pool.
Cons: Food was good, but has room for improvement.
Location: Tulum ruins are a great place to visit. Play del Carmen downtown for shopping. Xel Ha and Xaret for exploration and adventure. Coba is also close.
We stayed from March 31st thru April 5th. Had a wonderful vacation. Initially I was afraid that it will be crowded with spring break crowd, but turned out to be not so crowded, see right amount of people but felt uncrowded. Had a great time in the pool (it is a large pool with wave pool on one side), the ocean side is excellent, however during my stay we had quite a bit of seaweed in the ocean. The beach waterline also is raised up a bit so you don't have that long sandy approach. But beach facility was great. Did not have any issue with getting beach chairs under a palapa even though we went there at noon. There is plenty of activity to do, we mostly took it easy and relaxed by the pool. Booked Tulum trip from the vendors in the hotel, surprisingly good trip, we were surprised (not told to us before) that the trip took care of food, drink (soft and beer/tequila) and had a great guide. Enjoyed the hotel and trip very much. Very family friendly.

Great for families

Pros: Many things to do, beautiful resort and grounds.
Cons: Seaweed at the beach. Also, the food. We had wonderful breakfasts and lunches, but had trouble finding a dinner place we liked.
We stayed at Iberostar Paraiso Maya for 7 days in April. The weather was hot & humid, windy, but pleasant. The resort is enormous and has many things to do. We enjoyed the lazy river, wave pool, multiple pools, ping pong, archery, and playing pool. The grounds are beautiful and immaculately maintained. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The beach was disappointing. It is beautiful, but so rough and windy is doesn't feel safe to swim there, especially for children. There is also seaweed everywhere. The food was okay. It was easy to find excellent breakfasts and lunches. We had trouble finding a good dinner spot. The buffets were okay, but felt the same every night. The specialty restaurants we tried were the Steakhouse and Japanese. It was disappointing that appetizers for the steakhouse were at the same buffet restaurant. The Japanese was a fun experience, but the food was very salty and buttery. We didn't care for it.
